Ein PC-Spiel darf ja vieles, auch kleine Fehler kann es sich erlauben. Aber wenn man sich schon vor dem Spielstart zwischen „30 Bilder pro Sekunde“ oder „60 Bilder pro Sekunde (nicht empfohlen)“ entscheiden muss, dann ist gehörig was schief gelaufen! Und bei der Bildrate hört es – wie wir im Test feststellen mussten – längst nicht auf.

Mit reichlich Verspätung ist das Testmuster zu Tomb Raider: Underworld für Wii bei uns eingetrudelt. Warum uns Lara weder auf PC, 360 noch PS3 begeistern konnte, kann man in diesem Test nachlesen. Aber jetzt geht es um den akrobatischen Auftritt mit Nunchuk und Remote. Und gerade in diesem Jahr konnten einige Spiele auf Wii besser abschneiden als auf den HD-Konsolen. Gelingt auch Lara ein überraschender Coup?

Woran denkt ein alter PC-Hase, wenn er "Dungeon Maker" hört? Richtig: An "Dungeon Keeper". Dieses teuflische Vergnügen wurde 1997 von Bullfrog entwickelt und sorgte nicht nur für eine Belebung der klassischen Echtzeitstrategie, sondern auch für einen angenehmen Rollentausch. Umso neugieriger war ich auf dieses Spiel, das in den USA als "Master of the Monster Lair" erschienen ist. Was erwartet Kerkermeister auf dem DS?

Nicht nur auf PC, Xbox 360 und PlayStation 3 jagt Lara Croft dem Geheimnis keltischer und nordischer Unterwelten nach, auch auf Nintendos DS legt die Lady los. Allerdings startet sie hier nicht unter guten Vorzeichen: Erstens hat sie schon auf den großen Bildschirmen nur einen befriedigenden Eindruck hinterlassen und zweitens hat sie schon anno 2006 im Miniformat enttäuscht (4P-Wertung: 52%). Kann Lara diesmal überzeugen?

Nervenkitzel beim Absprung. Spannung hinter der Ecke. Panik unter Wasser. Das, was Lara Croft ehemals auszeichnete, hatte weniger mit ihren körperlichen, sondern viel mehr mit Erkundungsreizen und akrobatischen Herausforderungen zu tun. Es war quasi ein dreidimensionales Jump'n Run mit Indiana Jones-Flair. Es war ein Abenteuer, das Schatzsucherinstinkte wecken und eine mysteriöse Stimmung verbreiten konnte. Diese faszinierende Mischung ist eigentlich eine zeitlose und sollte auch 2008 begeistern. Aber das tut sie nicht.

Kennt man.
