Fazit

In meiner Testerseele geht es zu wie am Stammtisch. Der Nostalgiker schreit: »Alter, das ist Pirates! DAS Pirates, das dir damals eine künftige Karriere als Astronaut oder Nobelpreisträger verhindert hat! Und es sieht besser aus als je zuvor! Es macht süchtig! Die ganze Zeit sagt man sich “Nur noch diesen einen Kampf, nur noch diese eine Mission”, und zack, schon sind wieder drei Stunden rum!«. Der verwöhnte Kritiker hingegen motzt: »Sehr simple Kämpfe, was? In den allermeisten Fällen reicht es, gut getimt nach vorne zu stoßen! Dümmliche Navigator-KI, hä? Nicht von mir selbst kontrollierte Schiffe laufen gerne und endgültig auf gefährliche Kliffe auf! Das Auftragsbuch könnte auch mal etwas Ordnung vertragen – bis ich in dem Aufzeichnungswust eine bestimmte Information gefunden habe, ist der Papagei auf meiner Schulter vor Hunger eingegangen! Und das Schlimmste von allem: Man macht die ganze Zeit dasselbe: Mit dem Gouverneur schwatzen, Tochter anbaggern, Kneipeninsassen aushorchen, handeln, rumsegeln, kämpfen, mit dem Gouverneur schwatzen, etc.etc! Ist so was heutzutage noch zeitgemäß?«. Tja – so streiten sie, die inneren Stimmen. Haben allerdings beide Recht. Pirates ist ein Revival im klassischsten Sinne: Nach heutigen Maßstäben spielerisch eher mau, aber dennoch ein Süchtigmacher ersten Grades, wenn man sich darauf einlässt. Und die cleveren Verbesserungen der Xbox-Version (u.a. Sicherheitsabfrage beim Schiffsverkauf, freies Speichern, freispielbares Material oder Mehrspielermodus) sind uns sogar eine kleine Aufwertung wert!

  2. Ja dann lach dich zuerst mal kaputt, und wenn du dich erholt hast, dann lies den Satz nochmals. Hatte ich die Konsole runtergeamcht?? Nein im Gegenteil, ich bevorzuge die Konsole für dieses Spiel. Es ist leicht, es ist einfach zu handhaben und macht einfach ultimativen Spass.
    Aber für ein PC-Siel, bin ich gleicher Meinung wie 4Players, ich will mehr tiefgang, mehr Strategie und Bausimulation, einfach das ganze ne Stufe komplexer.
    Auf einer Konsole hingegen, bin ich froh wenn also gut mit dem Joypad konfiguriert ist, und ich nicht mit einen blöden Mauszeiger rumscrollen muss. Und für das ist Sid-Meyers Pirates auf Konsole (resp. X-Box) super gelöst.
    Das einzige was mich ein bisschen Aufregt, ist der Multiplayer, das ist ja ein lächerlicher Verschnitt. Aber dafür wurde dies nicht bewertet, weil es auch für mich nicht ausschlagebend ist.

  4. Bezüglich Bug beim Beute aufteilen, kann ich dies auch bestätigen. Scheint so als hätte hier die Deutsche-Synchronisation gefuscht.
    Für ein Konsolen-Spiel ist Sid-Meyers Pirates sehr empfehlenswert, jedoch für ein PC-Spiel, erwarte ich ganz klar mehr.

  5. Bei dieser Art von Bug frage ich mich, ob niemand beim Publisher eine Endkontrolle der deutschen Version macht.
    Der Fehler ist mehr als offensichtlich und sollte beim testen sofort auffallen.
    Ich finde auch, das sich das Remake etwas besser spielt als die Ur-Version.
    Das Spiel ist sicher nicht zeitgemäß, aber es macht Spaß und hat einen hohen Suchtfaktor.
    Das kann nicht jedes Xbox-Game von sich behaupten.
    Das Fazit des Test kann ich voll und ganz nachvollziehen. Das ruckeln in den Tanz-Sequenzen kann ich allerdings
    nicht bestätigen. Auf meiner Box läuft die Sequenz ohne Aussetzer. Ist halt von Box zu Box unterschiedlich.
    Leider trübt der Bug im Spiel das Gesamtergebnis etwas. Sicherlich kann ich das Spiel auch auf Englisch zocken, aber dann hätte man sich die deutsche Übersetzung sparen können!
    Der Fehler ist übrigens auch durch andere Xbox-Besitzer bestägtigt worden.
