Fazit

Der jüngste Auftritt von Nintendos Vorzeige-Prinzessin wird wahrscheinlich nicht zum ganz großen Klassiker der Videospielbühne werden; dass es aber auch kein totaler Kassenflop ist, zeigen schon die Verkäufe in den ersten Tagen. Wer sich an dem sehr niedrigen Schwierigkeitsgrad und am kindgerechten Design nicht stört, kann sicher ein paar nette Stunden im Theater verbringen und unter anderem die Rollen einer heldenhaften Detektivin, entschlossenen Kung-Fu-Kämpferin und mysteriösen Meisterdiebin einnehmen. Für das, was es sein will, macht Princess Peach: Showtime! seine Sache schon recht gut, nachhaltig vom Hocker hauen wird es aber die Wenigsten. Die Ideen sind gut umgesetzt und variantenreich, nutzen sich aber schnell ab – ihr hüpft von Bühne zu Bühne, legt der Sauertruppe das Handwerk und der Dank der Teatris ist euch gewiss – Vorhang, nächste Szene. Erfahrene Gamer konnten da im Plattformer-Genre und besonders von Nintendo schon beeindruckendere Erlebnisse sammeln.

It's Peach-Time! Kreativer und süß designter Zeitvertreib mit anfänglich großer Abwechslung, dem es aber im weiteren Verlauf an motivierenden Inhalten fehlt. Knackigere Rätsel und Mini-Games oder zusätzliche Spielmechaniken hätten dem Abenteuer gut zu Gesicht gestanden.
