Neben den Singleplayer-Modi bietet MTV:Skateboarding auch Multiplayer-Varianten an. Das schon bekannte MTV-Logosammeln könnt Ihr hier im Splitscreen gegeneinander ausführen. Wollt Ihr Euch aber die Köpfe wegbomben, wählt Ihr den Time-Bomb mode. Eine Zeitbombe kann durch Berührung weitergegeben werden. Wer als letztes in Besitz derselben ist, hat verloren. Noch heftiger geht es im Deathmatch zu. Ihr versucht Eure Freunde vom Board zu schubsen. Dazu verwendet Ihr Items ,wie etwa das Maschinengewehr. Für die friedlicheren Skater gibt es noch den Battlemodus. Jeder Spieler hat 100.000 Punkte und kann sie dem Gegner durch Tricks auf der Half-Pipe oder im Parcour abknöpfen. Wer als Erster die Null-Linie erreicht, hat verloren.

Grafik/Sound

Die schon erwähnte, niedrige Framerate ist um so unverständlicher, wenn man die üppig ausgestattete Umgebung und die Grafik-Bugs betrachtet: Clippingeffekte und hässliche Jags plagen die schwach austexturierte Szenerie. Die Spielfiguren sind recht gut animiert und texturiert, werden aber auch von Aliasing heimgesucht.
Musikalisch trumpft MTV:Skateboarding allerdings auf: Orginaltracks von Deftones, Cypress Hill, Pennywise, Goldfinger und andere sind vertreten.
