Auf dem Thron der Jump&Runs sitzt seit geraumer Zeit ein schlappohriger Held mit Feuer in den Fäusten: Rayman, der Zweite! Viele versuchten bisher vergeblich den 3D-Hüpfspaß zu toppen, darunter recht gelungene Games wie Croc 2 und vor kurzem das eher mittelmäßige Gifty. Jetzt schickt Titus mit Kao the Kangaroo ein boxendes, gelbes Känguru in den Ring und wir verraten Euch, ob es Rayman 2 gefährlich werden kann…

Story

Eines Tages spazierte das reiselustige Känguru Denis -auch Kao genannt- nichtsahnend durch ein kleines Wäldchen, als es plötzlich einem hinterlistigen Jäger in die Falle tappt: Eingesperrt in einen Käfig wird der gelbe Australier verschleppt, um in einem fremden Land zum Boxer ausgebildet zu werden. Doch Denis ist eine Kämpfernatur und macht aus der Not eine Tugend: Er will sich den Weg in die Heimat freiboxen…

Gameplay

Wer die letzten 3D-Jump&Runs auf dem PC gespielt hat, wird sich sofort in der bunten Comicwelt zurechtfinden. Zu Beginn seht Ihr Kao von hinten und steuert ihn mit den Pfeiltasten durch etwa 50 Level; ein Herz symbolisiert Eure Lebenskraft, die natürlich mit entsprechenden Items wieder aufgefüllt werden kann.

Leider wechselt die Kameraperspektive an manchen Stellen des Spiels in die Seiten- oder Vorderansicht, ohne dass Ihr -wie etwa bei Rayman 2- mit einem Tastendruck wieder für die gewohnte Hinteransicht sorgen könnt. Das macht einige Stellen des Spiels, wenn Kao z.B. von einer riesigen Kugel verfolgt wird, recht schwierig. Jump&Run-Spezialisten dürfte diese kleine Hürde aber wohl eher reizen.
