Grafik/Sound

Grafisch kann Grand Prix 3 durchaus überzeugen, Microprose hätte allerdings wesentlich mehr aus der Grafikengine herausholen können. Zum Teil werden die Texturen nicht gefiltert (siehe Reifen). Auch die Bäume am Streckenrand sind nur Pixelhaufen. Aber ansonsten ist die Grafik wirklich in Ordnung. Besonders die schönen Bitmaps als Streckenhintergrund sehen toll aus, am besten hat uns dabei der Kurs von Imola gefallen.

An Sound enttäuscht Grand Prix 3 leider etwas. Die Motorengeräusche wurden fast 1:1 aus Grand Prix 2 übernommen. Und auch sonst gibt es nicht viel zu hören. Die gegnerischen Wagen haben überhaupt keine Motorensounds, man ist also nur auf seine Augen angewiesen. Zudem fehlt auch der Boxenfunk völlig, wodurch die Atmosphäre schon etwas leidet.

Multiplayer

Im Multiplayer-Teil hat sich auch nicht viel getan. Entweder spielt man an einem PC abwechselnd oder man vergnügt sich mit bis zu 21 anderen Spielern im LAN. Rennen über das Internet sind nicht möglich.

Aber immerhin machen Duelle im LAN ordentlich Spaß.
