Wer hat nicht schon einmal davon geträumt, mit einem Formel1 Wagen über die mörderisch schnellen Geraden des Hockenheimrings regelrecht hinweg zu brettern?
Mit Grand Prix 3 wird dieser Traum endlich wahr.

Es stehen sämtliche Wagen und Rennstrecken zur Verfügung, um einfach nur mal ein schnelles Rennen zu fahren oder sich die Weltmeisterschaft zu erkämpfen. Leider ist die FIA-Lizenz aus dem Jahr 1998, also werden Frentzen-Fans im Williams-Mecachrome Platz nehmen müssen.

Spielbarkeit/Gameplay

In Grand Prix 3 wird Realität sehr groß geschrieben. Alles wird bin ins kleinste Detail simuliert. Dennoch kommen auch Einsteiger nicht zu kurz, es wurden nämlich diverse Fahrhilfen ins Spiel integriert: Eine Automatikschaltung, Brems- und Lenkhilfen, Schleuderkorrektur usw.

Die Hilfen sind nicht nur für Einsteiger gedacht, zumindest die Automatikschaltung ist auch für Profis sehr empfehlenswert. So muss man nicht mehr schalten und kann sich dabei besser auf die Strecke und seinen Wagen konzentrieren. Aber auf Lenk- und Bremshilfe sollte man besser recht schnell verzichten, sonst ist die Enttäuschung recht groß, wenn man dann einmal ohne fährt.

Einen Formel1 Boliden zu fahren ist beileibe wirklich kein Zuckerschlecken. Die 800 PS und das Gewicht von gerade einmal 500 Kilo brauchen viel Übung, um auf der Strecke gehalten zu werden – trotz modernster Hilfsmittel. Aus diesem Grund steuert man ein Fahrzeug in Grand Prix 3 am besten mit einem guten Lenkrad. Auch wenn man mit dem Joystick ganz gut fahren kann werden die Rundenzeiten mit einem Lenkrad besser und das Spiel dadurch realistischer, aber auch spaßiger.
