Manchmal seid ihr sogar mit einigen KI-Kollegen unterwegs, die euch ein bisschen beim Schießen helfen – zu mehr sind diese Trottel aber nicht zu gebrauchen. Besonders nervig: Eure Freunde laufen gerne durch die Schusslinie.

Nun stellt euch nicht so an! Beide bitte ganz sauber in die Schusslinie und Cheeeeeese….

Bei der gegnerischen Intelligenz sieht es ebenso schlecht aus, denn anstatt in Deckung zu gehen oder im Team zu kämpfen, laufen die Feinde schnurstracks mit der Waffe auf euch zu und fangen an zu schießen! Hey Jungs, das ist eine Fernkampfwaffe, da muss man nicht neben dem Gegner stehen um zu treffen…

Halomanie

Das Waffensystem wurde komplett aus Halo übernommen. Ihr könnt nur zwei Waffen mit euch rumschleppen, wobei sich die Anzahl und Art der Schießprügel als ziemlich unbefriedigend erweist. Es gibt nur MGs oder Laserwaffen und diese in verschiedenen Formen. Erst wenn der obligatorische Raketenwerfer ins Spiel kommt, werden die Duelle spaßiger.

Das Schild- und Gesundheitssystem stammt ebenfalls aus Halo. Denn euer Kampfanzug ist zusätzlich zu der normalen körperlichen Gesundheit mit einem Schildsystem versehen, das euch vor den schlimmsten Schäden bewahren kann, aber dafür auch immer wieder in ruhigen Momenten aufgeladen werden muss.

Die Entwickler von Kuju haben eng mit Games Workshop zusammengearbeitet, damit sich die Warhammer-Fans heimisch fühlen. So gibt es gotisch angehauchte Schlachtschiffe der Terraner und wirklich böse aussehende Chaos-Krieger. Ansonsten präsentiert sich das Spiel recht altbacken: Hässlich undetaillierte Texturen, jämmerliche Waffeneffekte und eine extrem polygonarme Darstellung der ärmlichen Umgebung setzen der grafischen Unzulänglichkeit die Krone auf.

Sound

Die Sound-Effekte sind absolute Durchschnittskost und wirken teilweise einfach monoton, flach und qualitativ minderwertig. Wenigstens die deutsche Sprachausgabe ist gut gelungen. Katastrophal ist allerdings, dass es im Gameplay überhaupt gar keine musikalische Untermalung gibt.

Ihr schon wieder! Wieso könnt ihr mich einfach nicht in Ruhe lassen? Jetzt juckt der Finger am Abzug wieder so doll…

Liebloser Multiplayer

Die lieblose 1:1-Konvertierung von der PS2 offenbart sich auch bei den Mehrspieler-Partien, denn ihr könnt sowohl im Splitscreen als auch per LAN oder TCP/IP im Deathmatch, Team-Deathmatch oder CTF gegeneinander antreten – mehr nicht.

    Igitt! Was wollen die Typen mit diesem Game bewirken?
    Bin ja nicht mal bis zur 2ten Seite gekommen, so schlecht wie DIE Gamebeschreibung ist und DIE Screenshots sind.....

  2. Normalerweise verbindet man mit “Warhammer 40k” strategische Tabletop-Schlachten. Aber diesmal dürft ihr hautnah in das Zukunftsszenario reinschauen und als Fire Warrior gegen das Imperium der Menschheit antreten. Ob das Spiel neben der Mega-Lizenz auch Spielspaß bietet, klärt der Test!
