Mit der Ver\u00f6ffentlichung des heutigen Grafikkarten-Treibers hat Nvidia eine neue Version von DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling) ver\u00f6ffentlicht. Mit DLSS 2.0 soll im Vergleich zur Vorg\u00e4ngerversion vor allem die Bildqualit\u00e4t deutlich erh\u00f6ht werden. DLSS 1.0 sorgte bei h\u00f6heren Aufl\u00f6sungen zwar f\u00fcr einen Schub bei der Bildwiederholrate, oft aber auf Kosten der Bildsch\u00e4rfe. F\u00fcr DLSS 2.0 ist der Grafikkarten-Treiber 445.75 erforderlich.<\/p>\n

DLSS ist ein Upscaling-Verfahren, bei dem z.B. nativ in 1080p gerenderte Szenen mit KI-Unterst\u00fctzung auf 4K hochskaliert werden k\u00f6nnen. Die Hochskalierung und die Kantengl\u00e4ttung (Anti-Aliasing) \u00fcbernimmt ein speziell trainiertes System auf Basis von k\u00fcnstlicher Intelligenz mit neuronalen Netzwerken, welches die Hochskalierung (vereinfacht gesagt) anhand von sehr gro\u00dfen Ausgangsbildern (Super Sampling) erlernt hat. Dieses Super-Sampling-Bild bildet den “Ground Truth”. Die KI soll beim Training dann selbstst\u00e4ndig erlernen, wie dieses Bild aus einem Bild mit deutlich niedriger Aufl\u00f6sung m\u00f6glichst gut und mit Anti-Aliasing “nachgebaut” werden k\u00f6nnte. Die erlernten Mechanismen lassen sich dann auf “unbekannte” Bilder anwenden, deren Profile z.B. im Grafikkartentreiber (NGX-Framework) gespeichert sind. <\/p>\n

Zus\u00e4tzlich kommen temporale Bild-Zusammensetzungsmethoden (Informationen aus den vorherigen Bildern; temporal accumulation techniques) zum Einsatz, die f\u00fcr eine h\u00f6here Bildsch\u00e4rfe und eine h\u00f6here Sch\u00e4rfestabilit\u00e4t von Bild von Bild sorgen sollen. Ein Beispiel: Die verwaschen wirkenden und unscharfen Haare der Hauptfigur aus Control und unscharfe Netz-\/Gitterstrukturen sollen damit der Vergangenheit angeh\u00f6ren.
