Du und dein Strogg<\/strong>

Zum eigentlichen Spielverlauf von Enemy Territory: Quake Wars (der Einfachheit halber nachfolgend QW abgek\u00fcrzt) spare ich mir an dieser Stelle die Worte – im ausf\u00fchrlichen Test der PC-Fassung<\/a> erfahrt ihr alles \u00fcber\u00a0die Spielerklassen und das aufgabenbasierte Missionsdesign. Dieser Platz ist f\u00fcr die Unterschiede der 360- und PS3-Fassung zum PC-Original reserviert.

Spielerisch ist allem beim Alten, nach wie vor machen die missionsbasierten, teamlastigen Aufgaben Spa\u00df. Technisch ist Quake Wars allerdings eine Entt\u00e4uschung.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table><\/figure><\/figure>\n

Machen wir’s kurz: QW ist h\u00e4sslich. Schon auf dem PC war das Spiel nicht gerade Ambrosia f\u00fcr die Augen, auf den Konsolen sind die Texturen teilweise erschreckend niedrig aufgel\u00f6st, die Animationen hoppelig und die Effekte schlicht peinlich. 360-Spieler haben’s trotzdem noch gut, denn auf der PS3 gesellt sich noch ein sp\u00fcrbares Ruckeln hinzu, sobald mehrere Fahrzeuge im Bild sind. Nichtsdestotrotz sind die Ladezeiten auf beiden Plattformen sehr lang – Sony-Fragger sind in dieser Hinsicht sogar doppelt gestraft, m\u00fcssen sie doch vor Spielbeginn erstmal vier GB auf ihrer Platte freimachen.

Generell hat die von Nerve Software entwickelte 360-Fassung in fast allen Belangen die Nase vorn: Nur hier gibt es einen Trainingsmodus, der zwar nur oberfl\u00e4chliches Wissen vermittelt, aber immerhin mehr wert ist als das v\u00f6llig nichtssagende Charakterklassen-Video auf der PS3 – die Fassung wurde \u00fcbrigens von Underground Development (ehemals Z-Axis) auf die Beine gestellt. Nur auf der 360 gibt’s interessanterweise ein gut funktionierendes Autotargeting, das tats\u00e4chlich so gut funktioniert, dass es das Spiel unn\u00f6tig vereinfacht: Ein anvisierter Gegner bleibt im Fadenkreuz, bis er erledigt ist; der Wechsel zum n\u00e4chsten Feind geht ratzfatz – das Ganze erinnert ein wenig an\u00a0GTA 4\u00a0<a class="DYNLINK" onmouseover="DynToolTipp_Show('Klicken f\u00fcr Gameinfos<\/b>‘)” onmouseout=”DynToolTipp_Hide(); ” href=”javascript:DynCont_Display(‘Gamefinder’,’runmod.php?sid=%7BSID%7D&LAYOUT=dyncont_gf&spielid=9777′)”>

Nichts f\u00fcr Einzelg\u00e4nger<\/strong>

Die sonstigen Spielmodi nehmen sich auf beiden Plattformen nichts, auch wenn die 360-Variante die Einzelspieler-Kampagne etwas deutlicher in den Vordergrund stellt. Das \u00e4ndert aber nichts daran, dass man hier wie da mit in drei Schwierigkeitsgraden regelbaren Bots \u00fcber die gleichen zw\u00f6lf Karten trabt wie im Mehrspielermodus – keine Story, kein roter Faden weit und breit. Einfach ausgedr\u00fcckt: Solo-Spieler sind hier fehl am Platze.

Aber auch Multiplayer-Fans m\u00fcssen einige R\u00fcckschl\u00e4ge hinnehmen, speziell wenn sie die PC-Version kennen: Die Anzahl der m\u00f6glichen Spieler wurde mit 16 mal eben halbiert, es gibt weniger Personalisierungsm\u00f6glichkeiten sowie immer wieder auftretende Lags in allen Online-Modi. Immerhin haben die Entwickler der PS3-Version einen soliden Serverbrowser spendiert, anderweitig werdet ihr einfach in das erstbeste Spiel geworfen, das w\u00fcrdig erscheint. Daf\u00fcr m\u00fcsst ihr hier mit einem unn\u00f6tig fummeligen Charaktermen\u00fc leben, in dem die Wahl der Fraktion, der Klasse und der Ausr\u00fcstung auf Trigger, Bumper und das Digipad verteilt ist – sehr viel umst\u00e4ndlicher geht’s tats\u00e4chlich kaum. Immerhin bekommt ihr auf allen Plattformen je nach Systemeinstellung solide deutsche oder englische Sprachausgabe sowie gut rumpelnde Effekte.<\/p>\n

Fazit<\/strong><\/h3>Schon auf dem PC war Quake Wars nicht der Messias aller Multiplayer-Shooter, auf Konsolen wird daraus endg\u00fcltig ein \u00bbme too!\u00ab-Produkt – und zwar eines, das dem aktuellen Stand der Shootertechnik locker eine Generation hinterher hinkt. Technisch ist das Spiel nicht der Rede wert; wo auf der PS3 das Ruckeln herkommt, ist mir unerkl\u00e4rlich. Weniger Spieler m\u00f6glich, fummelige Bedienung, h\u00e4ssliche Grafik, m\u00e4\u00dfiger Sound – w\u00e4re da nicht das spa\u00dfige Spielprinzip, Quake Wars w\u00e4re zur Bedeutungslosigkeit verdammt! Und in der Tat macht es nach wie vor sehr viel Spa\u00df, mit einem gut funktionierenden Team Strogg-Geb\u00e4ude zu st\u00fcrmen, Slipgates zu hacken oder Versorgungskerne zu sprengen. Viel mehr bietet das Spiel allerdings nicht: Solisten machen einen weiten Bogen darum, Technikfreaks sowieso. Bleiben nur die Action-Spartaner, alle anderen greifen zu Team Fortress 2, Unreal Tournament 3 oder gleich dem perfekten Allround-Paket Call of Duty 4.<\/div><\/div>
