Grunds\u00e4tzlich spielt sich Streetwise genau so, wie es mittlerweile jeder Brawler tut: Ihr trabt in Schulterperspektive durch eine versiffte Gro\u00dfstadt namens Metro City, haut diverse Feinde zu Klump und verfolgt die ausgesprochen simple Story, die in Echtzeit-Zwischensequenzen weitergef\u00fchrt wird. Besonderheit A: Das Spiel ist einigerma\u00dfen nicht-linear. Neben den Hauptauftr\u00e4gen k\u00f6nnt ihr auch hier und da Personen ansprechen, die eine Nebenmission f\u00fcr euch haben. Mal muss der Bruder einer Prostituierten aus \u00fcblen Gang-F\u00e4ngen befreit werden, mal m\u00fcsst ihr zu dr\u00f6ger Musik und mit f\u00fcrchterlicher Kollisionsabfrage K\u00fcchenschaben zertreten, mal gilt es Handtaschendieben den Scheitel zu b\u00fcgeln. Und dann wird nat\u00fcrlich immer gepr\u00fcgelt, gepr\u00fcgelt, gepr\u00fcgelt: Entweder mit allen verf\u00fcgbaren Extremit\u00e4ten oder mit Waffen, die allerdings schnell auseinanderfallen \u2013 und nat\u00fcrlich d\u00fcrft ihr auch, Tradition ist Tradition, mit M\u00fclltonnen oder Barhockern nach euren Feinden schwingen. Das gute alte Buttonmasher-Prinzip, mit dem ihr auf die beiden Angriffskn\u00f6pfe h\u00e4mmert, funktioniert hier einwandfrei. Prinzipiell k\u00f6nnt ihr gegnerische Angriffe brauchbar kontern, aber aufgrund der sehr ungenauen Kontrolle erledigt stumpfes Draufhauen den Job weitaus besser.<\/P>

Blinde Wut<\/STRONG><\/P>

Spielerisch und optisch sind PS2- und Xbox-Version absolut identisch. Das bedeutet aber leider, dass ihr auf beiden Plattformen mit der Kettens\u00e4ge designte Figuren, grausames Kantenflimmern und schwache Animationen zu sehen bekommt \u2013 gerade die Laufbewegungen sehen aus, als h\u00e4tten die gestandenen Recken die Hosen voll. Die Stadt besteht, Klischee sei Dank, im Grunde nur aus Grau- und Braunt\u00f6nen, durchweht von viel M\u00fcll und Bretterkonstrukten. Aber all das ist noch eine Freude im Vergleich zur Kameraf\u00fchrung, die mit \u00bbst\u00f6rrisch und unbrauchbar\u00ab noch ziemlich harmlos umschrieben ist.
