Fast jeder Film, von Ausnahmen wie Schindlers Liste abgesehen, bietet sich scheinbar f\u00fcr einen Ego-Shooter an. Also wird auch bei Battleship (die Abk\u00fcrzung BS passt wie der Arsch auf den Eimer) das Karopapier weggeworfen und daf\u00fcr die Shotgun gez\u00fcckt: Cole Mathis ist mal wieder ein Held der schweigsamen Sorte. Kein Wunder, er ist ja auch Sprengstoffexperte. Die reden wenig, machen daf\u00fcr aber viel kaputt. Das kann er: Da werden Alien-Sender und im Weg stehende T\u00fcren gesprengt, die bedauernswert dumpfbackigen Gegner fallen Pistole, MG oder Railgun im Dutzend zum Opfer\n

Interessant wird das Spiel erst durch den tats\u00e4chlichen Schiffe-versenken-Teil. Vereinfachungen wie extrem gro\u00dfz\u00fcgiges Autotargeting oder das automatische Heilsystem machen Coles Leben zumindest auf den ersten drei der vier Schwierigkeitsgrade einfacher, die teilweise idiotisch platzierten Checkpunkte dagegen schwerer. Au\u00dferdem kann er noch die Artillerie zu Hilfe rufen, jedenfalls sofern die Schiffe in Position sind.

Der Herr der P\u00f6tte<\/strong>

Ein Druck auf die linke Schultertaste und schon offenbart sich Coles ganze Macht: Er kann n\u00e4mlich nicht nur ballern und sprengen, sondern hat auch noch die Kontrolle \u00fcber alle in der N\u00e4he befindlichen Schiffe! Auf einer an tats\u00e4chliches Schiffe versenken erinnernden Oberfl\u00e4che kommandiert man die P\u00f6tte herum, l\u00e4sst die gegnerische Kutter angreifen oder eilt unter Feuer stehenden Vehikeln zu Hilfe. Hat man die Befehle einmal gegeben,\n

Zwei Anzeigen halten einen dabei stets auf dem Laufenden, was den Zustand der eigenen Flotte sowie der des Gegners betrifft.

Allerdings muss man immer wieder eingreifen, denn es gibt diverse Joker zu verteilen. Das sind Boni, die get\u00f6tete Gegner immer wieder mal fallen lassen und mit denen man die eigene Flotte verbessern kann. Warum? Ist halt so! Es gibt aktive und passive Joker: Mit Ersteren kann man einzelne Schiffe reparieren oder auch selbst steuern. In dem Fall hat man ein paar Sekunden Zeit, einen Feind h\u00f6chstpers\u00f6nlich in ein feuchtes Grab zu schicken – erh\u00f6hte Angriffswerte machen das zu einem Klacks. Letztere sorgen daf\u00fcr, dass die eigene Flotte weniger Schaden nimmt, st\u00e4rker austeilt oder der Radarbereich gr\u00f6\u00dfer wird. Technisch ist BS\u2026 alt. Nicht direkt h\u00e4sslich, aber alles wirkt alt: Die kr\u00fcmeligen Filme zu Beginn jeder Mission, die kruden 3D-Objekte, die detailarmen Levels. In einer Zeit vor Far Cry<\/a> h\u00e4tte das ziemlich gut ausgesehen, aber im Jahr 2012 ist diese Ansammlung an Pop-Ups, Tearings und Levelschl\u00e4uchen einfach\u2026 alt. Und kurz: Etwa sieben Stunden dauert der Krieg gegen die Au\u00dferirdischen, danach hat man auch schon alles gesehen: Einen Mehrspielermodus gibt es nicht, man kann nur Artworks und Videos freispielen.

Der gro\u00dfe Vorteil dieser Vorgehensweise: Die Erwartungen werden dadurch auf die Tiefe des Marianengrabens gekurbelt. Nicht falsch verstehen: Battleship ist gro\u00dfer Mist. Aber nicht ganz so furchtbar, wie ich zuerst annahm. Die Kontrolle \u00fcber die Kriegsschiffe parallel zum Ego-Ballern macht das Spiel zumindest ansatzweise interessant, das Konzept des Doppel-Schlachtfeldes ist clever und gut umgesetzt. Der Rest allerdings w\u00e4re auch vor zehn Jahren bestenfalls Durchschnitt gewesen: Geballer der langweiligsten Sorte in komplett belangloser Kulisse, durch be\u00e4ngstigend enge Levelschl\u00e4uche, gegen bemitleidenswert dumpfbackige Widersacher, garniert von d\u00e4mlich platzierten Checkpunkten. Braucht kein Mensch.<\/div><\/div>
