<\/B>Das Grundprinzip ist das gleiche wie im Spielhallen-Original von 1976: \u00c4hnlich wie in “Pong” steuere ich am Bildrand einen Schl\u00e4ger, mit dem ich eine Kugel in Richtung diverser Kl\u00f6tzchen-Formationen schleudere, bis alle Exemplare zerst\u00f6rt sind. Seit dem Original gab es vermutlich mehrere hundert Klone und Weiterentwicklungen des Spielprinzips,\u00a0 <\/SPAN>doch Shatter wirkt von den mir bekannten mit Abstand am modernsten: Die kunterbunten Kl\u00f6tzchen besitzen dank der Physik-Engine allesamt ein eigenes Gewicht.

In den runden Levels lassen sich die Bl\u00f6cke besonders gut in Sicherheit pusten. Oder ihr zerballert sie einfach mit einem Splittersturm.<\/TD><\/TR><\/TBODY><\/TABLE>Habe ich mit meiner Kugel ein rundes Gebilde aus der Verankerung gebolzt, torkeln die verbleibenden Steine durch das Level.

Mit Hilfe der L- und R-Tasten kann ich die Kugel zielsicher in die passende Richtung pusten oder saugen. All zu st\u00fcrmisch darf ich allerdings nicht vorgehen, sonst krachen mir die locker im Raum schwebenden Steine entgegen. Bestenfalls verlassen sie nur das Level und sorgen daf\u00fcr, dass der Punkte-Multiplikator sinkt. Schlimmstenfalls kicken sie mich vom Spielfeldrand, wodurch h\u00e4ufig auch die Kugel sausen geht. Schaffe ich es dagegen, die herumeiernden Quader rechtzeitig aufs Spielfeld zur\u00fcck zu pusten, kann ich die danach in Ruhe auseinandernehmen. Zur Belohnung darf ich kleine blaue Splitter einsaugen, welche den Multiplikator in die H\u00f6he treiben und mir Schildenergie sowie einen alles zerfetzenden Feuersto\u00df spendieren.

Killer-Wurm und \u00bbBlocktopus\u00ab

<\/B>Letztgenante Wumme eignet sich prima dazu, den dicken Bossgegnern (wie einem riesigen Wurm, einer bunt schimmernden Krake oder der stacheligen \u00bbKunstblume\u00ab) einzuheizen. Oder ich gehe das Risiko ein und feuere gleich mehrere Kugeln gleichzeitig ins Spiel.

Der\u00a0schlecht gelaunte\u00a0\u00bbBlocktopus\u00ab l\u00e4sst sich gut mit mehreren Kugeln gleichzeitig bearbeiten.<\/TD><\/TR><\/TBODY><\/TABLE><\/SPAN>Die bunt gl\u00fchenden Techno-Biester lassen das Herz eines jeden Psychedelic-Shooter-Fans h\u00f6her schlagen. Auch die Reise durch die dreidimensionalen Hintergr\u00fcnde mit ihren leuchtenden Schaltkreisen und Edelsteinen passt prima. Die technische Brillianz von Super Stardust HD <A class=DYNLINK onmouseover="DynToolTipp_Show('Klicken f\u00fcr Gameinfos<\/b>‘)” onmouseout=”DynToolTipp_Hide(); ” href=”javascript:DynCont_Display(‘Gamefinder’,’runmod.php?sid={SID}&LAYOUT=dyncont_gf&spielid=12004′)”><\/A><\/B><\/B> erreicht Shatter zwar nicht, trotzdem erzeugt das weich schimmernde Neon-Design eine ganz eigene Stimmung. Das Highlight des Spiels ist aber der Soundtrack von Jeramiah Ross aka Module. Seine Tracks wirken wie eine Reise von hypnotischen Elektro-Loops \u00fcber komplexe Melodien im Stil alter Computerspiele bis hin zu langen Gitarrensolos, welche an die epischen St\u00fccke von Pink-Floyd oder Mike Oldfield erinnern.

All zu sehr sollte man sich aber nicht von der audiovisuellen Pracht einlullen lassen. Shatter bietet zwar ein entspannteres Spieltempo und einen deutlich niedrigeren Schwierigkeitsgrad als aktuelle Zweistick-Shooter – im Splitterinferno geht trotzdem ab und zu die \u00dcbersicht verloren. Die Entwickler aus Downunder haben ganze Arbeit geleistet: Kaum etwas an Shatter erinnert noch an das angestaubte Original-Breakout. \u00dcberall fliegen bunt gl\u00fchende Splitter \u00fcber den Bildschirm, es gibt fette Bossk\u00e4mpfe, einen zum Heulen sch\u00f6nen Soundtrack und einige neue spielerischer Feinheiten. Mit dem Ideenreichtum von Nervous Brickdown <A class=DYNLINK onmouseover="DynToolTipp_Show('Klicken f\u00fcr Gameinfos<\/b>‘)” onmouseout=”DynToolTipp_Hide(); ” href=”javascript:DynCont_Display(‘Gamefinder’,’runmod.php?sid={SID}&LAYOUT=dyncont_gf&spielid=11744′)”><\/A><\/B><\/B> kann das Spiel zwar nicht mithalten, im Gegenzug wirken die wenigen vorhandenen Neuerungen sehr durchdacht: Mit Hilfe der Kombi aus Staubsauger und Laubgebl\u00e4se lassen sich Bonus-Splitter einsaugen, herumtrudelnde Bl\u00f6cke auf Abstand halten und andere praktische Dinge bewerkstelligen. Leider konnten sich die Entwickler offenbar nicht entscheiden, ob sie den Fokus auf die Kampagne oder die Highscore-Jagd legen sollten. Erstere ist zwar abwechslungsreich, f\u00e4llt f\u00fcr meinen Geschmack aber zu leicht aus. Als ich nach rund zwei Stunden durch war, konnte mich die Punktejagd nicht so lange ans Pad fesseln wie in einem guten Zweistick-Shooter. Auch ein Mehrspielermodus w\u00e4re nett gewesen.
