B\u00f6se Azteken<\/STRONG><\/P>

Eden ist mein! Dieser Gedanke schoss euch am Ende der Black & White 2-Kampagne durch den Kopf, denn die Azteken konnten sich eurer g\u00f6ttlichen Macht nicht widersetzen. Aus Mitleid oder Arroganz wurde allerdings eine kleine Zahl an Azteken verschont. Kurzum gr\u00fcndeten sie einen neuen Kult und opferten flei\u00dfig die Seelen der gefallenen Kameraden. Als Folge entstand eine b\u00f6se Gottheit mit Macht \u00fcber die Toten. Schneller als eure Kreatur drei Einwohner verspeisen kann, stampft der neue Gott eine Skelettarmee aus dem Boden und will euch die Macht \u00fcber Eden abspenstig machen – es kommt zum “Battle of the Gods”.<\/P>

Island-Hopping<\/STRONG><\/P>

Diese Schlacht erstreckt sich auf drei Inseln, von denen zwei g\u00e4nzlich neu sind und mit gigantischen Ausma\u00dfen protzen. Wie im Hauptprogramm gibt es neutrale D\u00f6rfer zu erobern oder friedlich zu konvertieren, leidlich interessante Minigames zu absolvieren und last but not least den Feind zu vernichten, der sich meistens auf einer h\u00f6her gelegenen
<\/A><\/TD><\/TR>
Mit dem Wachstumswunder werden die Untoten in harmlose Schafe verwandelt. Nur die Katapulte bleiben \u00fcbrig.<\/TD><\/TR><\/TBODY><\/TABLE><\/SPAN>Position verschanzt hat und euch aus Spa\u00df an der Freud mit Steinen oder andern Wurfobjekten eindeckt. Trotzdem wirkt der Gegner seltsam passiv, da er eigenst\u00e4ndig keine neutralen D\u00f6rfer angreift und nur mit kleinen Heeren zum Angriff bl\u00e4st. <\/P>

Gelegentlich ruft die b\u00f6se Gottheit ihrer Kreatur den Befehl “Bring mir einen Bewohner zum Opfern” zu. Erf\u00fcllt das tierisch untote Helferlein die Aufgabe, erschafft der Fiesling eine neue Skelettarmee, die \u00fcbrigens ganz genau wie ihre lebenden Kollegen k\u00e4mpft. Um diese Opfer-Mission vorzeitig zu unterbinden, k\u00f6nnt ihr eure eigene Kreatur auf Abfangkurs schicken oder ihr l\u00f6st gewisse Mini-Aufgaben (z.B. Verschiebe-Puzzles), damit der Feind seine Aufgabe vergisst.<\/P>

Untote ohne viel Intelligenz<\/STRONG><\/P>

F\u00fcrchten m\u00fcsst ihr euch keinesfalls vor der Skelettarmee. Obwohl die k\u00fcnstliche Intelligenz h\u00e4ufiger angreift als in Black & White 2, sind ihre Attacken in der Regel vorhersehbar und nicht durchdacht. Schlie\u00dft ihr beispielsweise das Tor eurer Befestigungsmauer, bleiben die feindlichen Klapperger\u00fcste vor der Mauer stehen und lassen sich von euren Bogensch\u00fctzen kampflos erledigen. Sobald jedoch gegnerische Fernk\u00e4mpfer oder Katapulte (selten) eintreffen, m\u00fcsst ihr mit einer entsprechenden Armee reagieren, den Anti-Untoten-Fl\u00e4chenzauber (Wachstumswunder) verwenden oder eure Kreatur in den Kampf schicken. Etwas seltsam ist auch, dass etwaige Geb\u00e4ude vor den Befestigungsanlagen von den Skeletten ignoriert werden und die Untoten lieber vor der Mauer warten als andere Bauwerke zu vernichten. <\/P>

Geb\u00e4ude, Zauber und Wunder<\/STRONG><\/P>

Ansonsten hat sich am eigentlichen Spielverlauf gar nichts ver\u00e4ndert. Ihr baut eure Siedlung auf, sammelt Ressourcen, k\u00fcmmert euch um die schnuckelige Kreatur und wehrt die Angriffe ab. Wiederum erweist sich die b\u00f6se Gesinnung als effektiver, da ihr viel schneller eine Armee aufstellen und die Feinde mit schierer Masse \u00fcberrennen k\u00f6nnt – Taktik ist bei den Massengefechten nicht von N\u00f6ten. Im \u00dcbrigen wirken sich Schlachthaus und Waffenschmiede (Upgrades f\u00fcr die Armeen) nicht unbedingt positiv auf die Gesinnung aus. \u00c4hnliches gilt f\u00fcr die vier neuen Wunder: das neutrale Wachstumswunder (verwandelt Gegner in harmlose Tiere), ein abgrundtief b\u00f6ses Lavawunder, das durchaus gute Wiederbelebungswunder und das hinterh\u00e4ltige Todeswunder, mit dessen Hilfe ihr euch eine eigene Skelettarmee zulegen k\u00f6nnt.<\/P>

Kreatur-Geschichten<\/STRONG><\/P>

Eure Kreatur aus B&W2 k\u00f6nnt ihr inklusive Gesinnung problemlos importieren oder euch f\u00fcr einen Neuanfang mit eines der sechs Tierchen entscheiden: L\u00f6we, Affe, Kuh, Wolf, Tiger und Schildkr\u00f6te. Letztere ist g\u00e4nzlich neu, wundersch\u00f6n animiert und attackiert u.a. mit einem innovativen Panzer-Splash. Der Tiger war exklusiv den Vorbestellern des Hauptspiels im EA-Shop vorenthalten, wird jetzt aber allen Spielern zur Verf\u00fcgung gestellt. F\u00e4llt eure Wahl auf den Neuanfang, legt ihr anschlie\u00dfend eure Grundgesinnung (gut, b\u00f6se und neutral) fest und bestimmt so den Spielstil, den ihr pflegen wollt. Einen Multiplayer- oder Sandkasten- bzw. Skirmish-Modus sucht ihr in diesem Add-On vergebens.<\/P>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0

Fazit<\/strong><\/h3>Mit dem Erweiterungspack Battle of the Gods braucht ihr euch keinerlei Hoffnung auf gro\u00dfe \u00c4nderungen bei Black & White 2 machen. Weder einen dringend erforderlichen freien Spielmodus noch eine Multiplayer-Komponente f\u00fcgt das Add-On hinzu, stattdessen wird auf das “bew\u00e4hrte” Konzept gesetzt und in Richtung Kampf verlagert. St\u00e4ndig werdet ihr von aggressiven, aber furchtbar d\u00e4mlich agierenden Untoten-Armeen bel\u00e4stigt, die liebend gerne vor verschlossenen Toren versauern als irgendwelche Geb\u00e4ude in Schutt und Asche zu legen. Warum die Entwickler ausgerechnet den Fokus auf die Schlachten gelegt haben, ist mir v\u00f6llig unverst\u00e4ndlich, denn die taktischen Handlungs-M\u00f6glichkeiten sind extrem eingeschr\u00e4nkt, weil es zu wenig Einheitentypen gibt. Abseits dieser Schwachstellen und der zu starken b\u00f6sen Gesinnung, punktet die Kreatur wieder mit viel Charme und niedlichen Animationen. Auch die etwas umst\u00e4ndliche Siedlungsaufbau- und Management-Komponente \u00fcbertrumpfen die Massenschlachten problemlos. Daher kann ich das Add-On nur den Spielern ans Herz legen, die Spa\u00df mit Black & White 2 hatten und kein Problem mit nervenden Minispielchen, dem Kampf-Fokus und dem d\u00e4mlichen KI-Gegner haben.<\/div><\/div>
