Menschen wie Peter Molyneux, der bereits Probleme damit hat<\/a>, seinen Blick zwischen Fernseher und Wii-U-Controller bzw. Tablet hin und her wandern zu lassen, wird Fractured Soul vermutlich auch auf dem geteilten PC-Bildschirm in den Wahnsinn treiben. Schlie\u00dflich muss man sein Augenmerk auch hier oft in Sekundenbruchteilen zwischen den beiden Bildausschnitten rotieren lassen. Das von Plattformern der 80er Jahre inspirierte H\u00fcpf- und Ballerabenteuer findet n\u00e4mlich auf zwei parallelen Spielebenen statt, die per Tastendruck gewechselt werden.

Das Konzept ist nicht neu. Nur hat man sich bisher meist darauf beschr\u00e4nkt, nur die gerade aktive Spielebene anzuzeigen und bei einem Wechsel entsprechend umzublenden, was vor allem
Soul Reaver<\/a> grandios beherrschte. Die Endgame Studios haben sich jedoch dazu entschlossen, jeder Ebene einen eigenen, festen Bildschirmteil zu verpassen und lediglich die Spielfigur bei einem Ebenenwechsel umzublenden. Als Folge dessen muss man stets hin und her blicken, um Figur und Umgebung im Blick zu behalten – wenn auch nur in 2D.

Anfangs mag das st\u00e4ndige Auf und Ab gew\u00f6hnungsbed\u00fcrftig sein, auch wenn man recht gem\u00e4chlich an das Konzept herangef\u00fchrt wird. Irgendwann geht es aber in Fleisch und Blut \u00fcber. Man nutzt immer schneller und \u00f6fter die jeweiligen Ebenenvorteile aus, was sp\u00e4testens bei t\u00f6dlichen Laserbarrieren, die einen durch ganze Levels hetzen, auch bitter n\u00f6tig ist. Im Gegensatz zum 3DS-Original gibt es in der PC-Fassung allerdings zwei Schwierigkeitsstufen. Der einstige Standardschwierigkeitsgrad wird nun als Hardcore-Modus ausgewiesen, die zus\u00e4tzliche leichtere Stufe als neuer Standard (normal) gesetzt.\n

Fordernde Faszination

Als besondere Herausforderung gibt es neben dem Sammeln immer schwerer zu erreichender Extras sowie online vergleichbarer Bestzeiten auch durch entsprechende Rankings freischaltbare Bonuslevels, die einen mit noch kniffligerer Situationen konfrontieren. Neben Schwebeplattformen, Leitern, T\u00fcren oder Haltestangen gibt es auch t\u00f6dliche Fallen und Abgr\u00fcnde sowie eine Reihe angriffslustiger Gegner, die es zum Teil sogar auf beiden Bildschirmen oder in klassischen Arcade-Flugabschnitten zu eliminieren gilt.

Schade nur, dass Pr\u00e4sentation und Technik extrem zweckm\u00e4\u00dfig ausfallen und auf dem PC noch antiquiierter wirken als im Handheld-Original. So gibt es nach wie vor keinerlei Sprachausgabe oder Story-Sequenzen. Zwischen den einzelnen Spielabschnitten bekommt man lediglich ein, zwei belanglose S\u00e4tze Text serviert. <\/strong><\/strong>Doch auch sonst sind Grafik und Akustik weit unter Par und lediglich in punkto Kantengl\u00e4ttung beeinflussbar.

Fazit<\/strong><\/h3>Auch wenn Fractured Soul nach wie vor nichts f\u00fcr die Peter Molyneux’ dieser Welt ist, f\u00fcr reaktionsschnelle Finger und Augen liegt hinter dem st\u00e4ndigen Auf und Ab der Blicke auch am PC eine faszinierende Flucht durch parallele Welten. Die Handhabung ist trotz vieler t\u00f6dlicher Gefahren herrlich einfach, das Leveldesign trotz schlichter Technik und Pr\u00e4sentation immer wieder interessant. Dem einst gnadenlosen und nicht ver\u00e4nderbaren Schwierigkeitsgrad wurde in der PC-Adaption eine leichtere Alternative hinzugef\u00fcgt, so dass jetzt auch weniger frustresistente Spieler einen Blick auf das Zwei-Ebenen-Abenteuer im Metroidvania-Stil riskieren k\u00f6nnen. Mit dem neuen kooperativen Mehspielermodus bekommen aber auch Profis eine neue Herausforderung, die nur mit perfekter Abstimmung zu meistern ist. Audiovisuell h\u00e4tte man der Portierung aber ruhig eine plattformgerechte Auffrischung verpassen k\u00f6nnen.
