Kein Scherz: Die Geschichte handelt tats\u00e4chlich davon, dass Hexe Nata de Cotton nur deshalb die Welt der Feen von b\u00f6sen Kreaturen befreit, weil als Belohnung ihre Lieblingszuckerspeise winkt. Das k\u00f6nnt ihr nat\u00fcrlich gefahrlos ignorieren bzw. \u00fcberspringen, denn viel wichtiger ist, dass ihr neben dem Ausweichen zahlreicher Geschosse nicht nur das Schie\u00dfen beherrscht, sondern auch mit Kristallen und Magie umgehen k\u00f6nnt.

Immerhin lassen besiegte Gegner oft Kristalle fallen, die im Normalfall allerdings keine Punkte bringen. Wenn man durch einen Kristall hindurch schie\u00dft, teilt sich vielmehr das Geschoss, um dabei bedeutend gr\u00f6\u00dferen Schaden anzurichten und gleichzeitig Energie f\u00fcr den Fever-Modus aufzuladen. Und hat man den erst mal aktiviert, hagelt jeder Abschuss derma\u00dfen dicke Punkte, dass es eine helle Freunde ist! Gro\u00dfe Zahlen schieben sich dann durchs Bild, wo kurz zuvor noch Gegner waren \u2013 versehen mit Multiplikatoren, die man sich durch sauberes Spielen erarbeitet hat.

Magische aufgeladene Edelsteine<\/strong>

Und liest man einen solchen Stein dann auf, erh\u00e4lt man entweder Punkte oder eine von vier Spezialf\u00e4higkeiten. Bis zu sechs dieser F\u00e4higkeiten parkt Cotton am unteren Bildschirmrand, um sie zu einem beliebigen Zeitpunkt manuell auszul\u00f6sen. Dazu geh\u00f6ren ein elektrischer Strahl, eine Bombe sowie eine Art Meteoritenschauer, der Feinden auf dem gesamten Spielfeld Schaden zuf\u00fcgt, wobei man die St\u00e4rke der einzelnen Zauber sogar erh\u00f6hen kann, indem man weitere Kristalle derselben Farbe sammelt, bevor man sie zum Einsatz bringt.

Doch damit nicht genug, denn h\u00e4lt man die Taste zum Aktivieren der Magie l\u00e4nger gedr\u00fcckt, l\u00f6st Cotton einen ganz anderen Effekt damit aus. Sie erh\u00e4lt dann einen Schutzschild oder verwandelt s\u00e4mtliche Kristalle in extrem punktetr\u00e4chtige Klunker, was in manchen Situationen ausgesprochen ertragreich sein kann. Man muss also immer \u00fcberlegen, wie man die eigenen F\u00e4higkeiten in der jeweiligen Situation am effektivsten einsetzt.

Gef\u00e4hrliches Fieber<\/strong>

Das klingt komplizierter als es ist. Tats\u00e4chlich hat man das System schnell durchschaut und genie\u00dft das h\u00e4ufige Aussch\u00fctten massiver Punktemengen. Durch die recht zahlreichen und relativ zuf\u00e4llig verteilten Kristalle sowie die Tatsache, dass sich ihre Farben im Dauerfeuer st\u00e4ndig \u00e4ndern, kann man viele Situationen ohnehin nicht so pr\u00e4zise planen wie in \u00e4hnlichen Spielen. Dadurch f\u00fchlt man sich etwas weniger dazu gedr\u00e4ngt perfekt so zu spielen, wie es vom Entwickler geplant war. Der in drei Stufen einstellbare, insgesamt aber stets moderate Schwierigkeitsgrad sorgt zus\u00e4tzlich daf\u00fcr, dass sich Cotton Reboot! wie ein einsteigerfreundlicher Vertreter seiner Art anf\u00fchlt.

Dann verdeckt die Anzeige der erzielten Punkte n\u00e4mlich feindliche Geschosse, sodass man oft ohne Vorwarnung getroffen wird. Das motivierende Kristallsystem ist in der aktuellen Form jedenfalls komplett neu und auch das grundlegende Spielgef\u00fchl viel fl\u00fcssiger. Und um die eingehende Frage zu beantworten: Die schlechte Lesbarkeit mancher Situationen ist leider ein exklusiver Verdienst von Reboot!

Umso hinderlicher ist es nat\u00fcrlich, dass man beim Ausl\u00f6sen der ganz gro\u00dfen Punkteaussch\u00fcttung viele feindliche Geschosse \u00fcberhaupt nicht sehen kann \u2013 das ist ein ebenso verwunderlicher wie ausgesprochen \u00e4rgerlicher Fauxpas.
