Eine kurze Geschichte der Videospiele

Die Geschichte der Videospiele beginnt bereits in den späten 1940er Jahren mit wissenschaftlichen Tüfteleien.Die erste bekannte von ihnen war “OXO”, ein Tic-Tac-Toe-Spiel, in dem man gegen den Computer antrat.

Für den Euro Truck Simulator 2 gibt es im Netz sehr viele verschiedene Mods (Modifikationen, inoffizielle Erweiterungen), die das Spiel um neue/andere Trucks, Auflieger oder neue Städte und Länder, teilweise auch Kontinente erweitern. Einige Mods verändern das Spiel, wie die Begrenzung auf 90 km/h, die Höhe der Geldstrafen, etc.

Diese Mods finden sich als .scs-Datei wieder und müssen in den “mod”-Ordner eingefügt werden. Dieser Ordner findet sich unter Windows 7 oder 8 in C:/Users//Dokumente/Euro Truck Simulator 2/, bei Windows XP ist der “mod”-Ordner in C:/Benutzer//Eigene Dokumente/Euro Truck Simulator 2/.

Die .scs-Dateien müssen in den dort vorhandenen “mod”-Ordner kopiert/verschoben werden. Es ist wichtig darauf zu achten, dass die Mods auch mit der installierten Spielversion kompatibel sind, um Abstürze zu vermeiden.

Der zweite Schritt ist erst ab der ETS2-Version 1.3 notwendig: Wenn alle Mods im Ordner als .scs-Dateien sind, müssen diese noch für das jeweilige Profil aktiviert werden. Dazu wird der ETS2 gestartet und nach dem Auswählen des zu spielenden Profils folgt ein Klick auf “Bearbeiten”. Auf der rechten Seite sind nun alle .scs-Dateien aufgelistet. Die, die für das Profil verwendet werden sollen, müssen mit einem Haken versehen werden, anschließend müssen die Veränderungen über einen Klick auf “Anwenden” bestätigt werden.

Nun kann das Profil geladen werden.
Folgendes sollte zusätzlich beachtet werden:

– Manchmal ist die Reihenfolge, in der Mods geladen werden wichtig. Diese kann durch den Dateinamen modifiziert werden, so wird zum Beispiel die Datei “zzzzzModA.scs” später geladen als “zModB.scs”.

– Wird eine Map verwendet, die neue Städte oder Länder hinzufügt, so ist unbedingt ein neues Profil notwendig.
