Fazit

Nein, so gut wie ich es mir schon nach dem ersten Trailer ausgemalt hatte, ist Twelve Minutes letztlich leider nicht geworden. Andererseits holt Regisseur Antonio viel aus dem Setting heraus: Vergleiche ich meine dümmlichen Versuche zum Spielstart mit dem was ich nach einigen Stunden mit dem Raum, den Personen und den wenigen Gegenständen fabriziere und was ich alles erfahren habe – dann ist das ein enormer Unterschied. Zudem stimmt auch der Komfort: Man kann Dialoge beschleunigen und durch einen Kniff fast jederzeit einen Neustart des Loops provozieren, falls man einen Fehler gemacht hat. Mir hat es viel Spaß bereitet, herumzuprobieren, wie ich neu erworbenes Wissen in Fortschritte verwandeln kann. Auch wenn ich ein paar Mal genervt war oder ein paar Dinge unlogisch fand, so wollte ich doch immer wissen, was noch alles unter der Oberfläche schlummert. Das Ende des Spiels hält allerdings nicht mit dem Weg dorthin mit – das betrifft sowohl die Qualität der Enthüllungen als auch den mechanischen Kniff zum Finale. Hier wollte Antonio meiner Meinung nach unbedingt Unschärfe und Deutungsoptionen hineinbringen, dir mir nicht gefallen haben. Trotzdem kann ich Twelve Minutes empfehlen, wenn ihr Lust an akribischer Detektivarbeit habt oder euch dass ungewöhnliche Kammerspiel-mit-Zeitschleife-Konzept anspricht.
