Sommer, Sonne, Strand und guten Service – mehr erwarten die meisten Touristen momentan von unserer kleinen Karibik-Insel Tropico nicht. Was aber, wenn nun eine Horde Öko-Urlauber anrückt? Im Original-Spiel kann Euch das nicht passieren, aber mit dem offiziellen Add-On Paradise Island, sehr wohl. Wie Ihr den Okö-Touristen das Geld aus der Tasche zieht und ob sich die Diktatur auf Tropico auch mit der Zusatz-CD lohnt, lest Ihr in unserem Test!

Viel Neues

Auch als Diktator muss man manchmal sein Land etwas aufmöbeln. Nichts einfacher als das, wenn man Tropico regiert: die Paradise-Island-CD ins Laufwerk, installieren und fertig ist die Staats-Renovierung. Gleich zwölf neue Gebäude, sechs zusätzliche Edikte und viele, weitere Verbesserungen warten darauf von Euch benutzt zu werden. Die neuen Bauwerke dürften erstmal etwas frischen Wind in Eure Hauptstadt bringen. Um Eure Untertanen gut unterzubringen dürft Ihr nun Reihenhäuser bauen, die man auch an Touristen vermieten kann – bis zu vier Familien haben pro Block Platz. In der neuen Möbelfabrik wird aus dem abgebauten Holz schnell ein stämmiger Schrank, eine ganze Wohnzimmereinrichtung oder auch ein normaler Stuhl.

Im touristischen Sektor ist nun viel mehr los. Mit Yachthafen, Minigolf und Tennisplatz werdet Ihr sicherlich für Sporturlauber ein interessantes Reiseziel. Im Duty Free Shop könnt Ihr sicherlich so manchem Touristen noch viel Geld aus der Tasche ziehen. Öko-Touristen freuen sich über ein Naturschutzgebiet, während reiche Urlauber sich eine Strandvilla an Tropicos traumhaften Karibikstrand mieten.

Entertainment für Touristen und Eure Untertanen wird nun noch vielfältiger. Im Kino gibt´s natürlich immer die neuesten Filme, Eure digitale Geburtsstätte auf der Insel wird kurzerhand zum Museum und im Gewächshaus blüht so mache Pflanze, die man auf Tropico nirgendwo sonst finden würde.
Auch der Staat rüstet auf: eine eigene Militärbasis hilft bei der Kontrolle von so manchem Aufständler.
Falls auf Eurer Insel ein Kolonial-Fort zu finden ist, gibt es noch zwei weitere Gebäude: den Kerker und die Ausgrabungsstätte. Letztere finden Touristen recht interessant, im Ersteren landet gelegentlich mal ein bei Euch unbeliebter Inselbewohner.
