Fazit

Während meines Tests von The First Descendant hatte ich immer diesen einen Gedanken: Warum sollte ich das spielen und nicht einen der deutlich besseren Genre-Vertreter? Eine Antwort darauf konnte mir Nexons Loot-Shooter zu keiner Zeit geben: Er ist nicht unbedingt richtig schlecht, aber kann auch nicht im Ansatz der Konkurrenz um Destiny oder Warframe das Wasser reichen. Insbesondere das Missionsdesign und die Charaktere sind langweilig und uninspiriert, wie man es zuvor schon in vielen anderen Genrevertretern zu Gesicht bekommen hat. Nur irgendwie noch banaler, noch kreativloser.

Hinzu kommt, dass auch das Gunplay und die Lootspirale nicht so richtig zu begeistern wissen. Glücklicherweise lässt sich das alles erleben, ohne, dass man auch nur einen Cent ausgeben muss. Wer also unbedingt ein paar Stunden loswerden möchte, kann The First Descendant mal installieren – wirklich empfehlen kann ich es aber keineswegs.

Auf den ersten Blick ein solider, wenn auch wenig kreativer Loot-Shooter, bei dem sich schnell massive Schwächen im Missionsdesign offenbaren. Hinzu kommt eine langweilige Story, überzogene Ingame-Preise und kaum vorhandene Motivation, langfristig an Bord zu bleiben.

  • Skins für Charaktere & Waffen, Farben für Benutzeroberfläche, Emotes usw. für Echtgeld kaufbar. Forschung kann mithilfe von Premiumwährung beschleunigt werden. Descendants können alternativ direkt gekauft werden. Season Pass mit Materialien und weiteren kosmetischen Gegenständen. Währung kann zudem nur in bestimmten Paketgrößen erworben werden, die nie passend zu den Angeboten sind.

  1. Also wenn man es genau nimmt macht Warframe so ziemlich alles besser. Trotzdem macht TFD Spaß und reizt das Belohnungszentrum. Warframe ist mir mittlerweile zu umfangreich und unübersichtlich geworden. Das Spiel ist aber nicht so schlecht wie es hier dargestellt wurde. Besser als Kill the Justice League ist es allemal.

    "Moralische Legitimation"? .. Die wollen Geld verdienen.
    Und wenn sie die gleichen, oder höhere Einnahmen mit freizügigen Männeroutfits erwarten würden, dann gäb es die auch.

  3. Was ich immer nicht an diesen sexualisierten Darstellungen von Frauen in Spielen verstehe, ist die völlige Abwesenheit dieser bei männlichen Figuren. Das ist dann eben Sexismus in der Deluxe Version. Wenn man diese Schiene fährt, warum dann nicht wenigsten auf diese Weise durch Gleichberechtigung einen Hauch moralischer Legitimation generieren? Kostet doch nichts, sondern bringt vielleicht sogar Geld ein. Ich habe jedenfalls schon sehr viele weibliche Videospielfiguren in Tanga-Bikini-Outfits gesehen, aber 0,0 männliche in Jockstrap.

  5. Wenn ich generell schon Abscheu für koreanische Spiele habe, dann ist Nexon für einen guten Teil dafür verantwortlich.
    Dem Tester kann ich jetzt nur übers Zuschauen zustimmen. Es zu spielen bockt mich noch weniger. Vor allem wegen den Pay-to-Shortcut / Pay-to-Win elementen
