Fazit

Fangen wir gleich mal mit dem nervigsten Punkt der Dauergrinse-Affen an: Das Intro, und da speziell die Musik, ist derart mit dem Hackebeil auf gute Laune getrimmt, dass ich kotzen könnte. Ich bin wirklich ein grundfröhlicher Mensch, aber was hier an penetranter gute Laune aus den Boxen gequetscht wird, geht weit über das Stadium der Trommelfellfolter hinaus. Gott sei Dank ist das schnell weggedrückt, denn der Rest des Spiels macht, auch wenn er in mehr als nur optischer Hinsicht drei Jahre zu spät kommt, wirklich Spaß: Die Levelmassen sind herausfordernd bis verdammt anspruchsvoll, die Steuerung einfach, die Mehrspielergames das Gruppenhighlight – speziell das Segelfliegen hat’s mir angetan! Allerdings ist es mir völlig unverständlich, wieso PS2 und Xbox erst so spät beafft werden. Das Spiel hat zwar auch heute noch seinen nicht zu leugnenden Charme, wirkt aber schon ziemlich angestaubt.

  2. Ich finde auch, dass alle SMBs ein besonderes Flair und einen besonderen Charme haben.
    Ich kann diese \"ach so putzigen\" Spiele auch nicht (mehr ^^) leiden (á la Nintendo), aber Monkey Ball ist einfach schon wieder etwas besonderes, dass sie es mit Musik und \"Niedlichkeitsfaktor\" derart übertrieben haben. Man denkt \"Och wie süß\", beißt sich aber unter Umständen die Zähne an dem Spiel aus, weil es schonmal echt knifflig und gemein ist. Aber gerade das hat mich schon auf dem GCN fasziniert...Es ist einfach ein wenig Sarkasmus in dieser \"Niedlichkeit\", weil es eben manchmal höllisch schwierig ist. Also ich habe es immer gemocht, im SP wie im MP.

  3. In die Bewertung sollte auch irgendwie eine Art \"Kultfaktor\" mit einfließen.
    Also eine 77% für dieses Game ist, finde ich etwas wenig.
    Das Game macht Spass ohne Ende. Die Grafik ist nicht ganz auf der Höhe das stimmt, tut dem Spielgeschehen aber überhaupt keinen Abbruch.
    Ach und der Sound ist nicht nervig.
    Der ist halt SEGA like.

    Das Spiel ist sehr viel geiler als 77%! Das die Grafik dated ist, sollte für Spieler des Genres so gut wie nicht ins Gewicht fallen. Für mich tut es dass jedenfalls nicht. Aber gut, dass du das Segelfliegen nennst. Das ist einfach nur genial! Auf dem Cube spielen wir das heute noch! Ab 2 Spielern is dat Oberburner. Am besten zu 4t!

  5. Es wird affig auf PS2 und Xbox: Satte drei Jahre nach der GameCube-Version kullern die rollenden Affen aus Super Monkey Ball auch auf die anderen Konsolen – leicht verbessert, versteht sich.
