Fazit

Skulls of the Shogun bietet leicht zugängliche und doch vielfältige Rundentaktik mit kreativen Extras wie dem aufputschenden Verzehr feindlicher Schädel. Die Unterstützung asynchronen Spielens zwischen PC-, Handy- und Tablet-Nutzern wie in alten Pen & Paper-Zeiten stellt sogar ein Novum dar. Man kann sich aber natürlich auch mit Off- und Online-Freunden oder einer Kombination aus beidem bekriegen; selbst System-Link-Partien sind möglich. Doch auch Solisten werden mit einer herrlich albernen Kampagne und fordernden Bonuszielen bestens bei Laune gehalten. Die Schlachtfelder sind zahl- und abwechslungsreich, die wenigen Einheiten perfekt aufeinander abgestimmt. Übersicht und Navigation haben zwar hin und wieder ihre Tücken, den absolut goldwürdigen Spielspaß schmälert das aber kaum. Mit etwas mehr Feinschliff und Umfang wie z. B. einem Leveleditor wäre sogar Platin greifbar gewesen. Taktische Kurzweil in Bestform!
