Fazit

Aua! Wenn Dummheit weh tun würde, müssten eure Widersacher in Pilot Down auch ohne Waffeneinsatz ständig aufheulen. Dermaßen unterbelichtete Wehrmachtssoldaten habe ich jedenfalls seit “Ein Käfig voller Helden” nicht mehr gesehen. Doch was in der Fernsehserie zur gezielten Belustigung diente, wirkt hier nicht einmal unfreiwillig komisch, sondern einfach nur peinlich. Die Grenzdebilität eurer Gegner erstickt wirklich jeden Spielspaßfunken im Keim, während das von Vollblutsadisten ersonnene Speichersystem nie um eine tödliche Überraschung kurz vor Levelende verlegen ist. Statt geeignete Schleichrouten auszubaldowern oder Hinterhalte zu initiieren, besteht die Herausforderung vielmehr darin, den Gemeinheiten der Programmierer oder den Tücken der Technik zu entgehen sowie die vorsintflutliche Grafik zu verdauen. Dabei hätten die verbesserbaren Charaktereigenschaften und die Kräfte zehrenden Witterungsbedingungen durchaus für ein sehr spannendes und individuelles Flüchtlingsabenteuer sorgen können. So wünscht man sich jedoch nichts sehnlicher, als endlich in Gefangenschaft zu geraten und das programmierte Elend hinter sich zu lassen…

    Ich hab das Spiel und muss sagen das ich es in gemischter weise betrachte.
    Einerseits: Spannendes Thema, interessante Sekundärziele, witziger Comic.
    Andereseits: Dämlichkeit der Deutschen, Personen sehen seltsam aus
    (US-Pilot: Becken und Bauch zu schmal; Deutsche: Sehen eigentlich alle gleich aus nur unterschiedliche Uniformen (ist aber
    bei vielen Spielen so) und sie sehen aus wie \"zusammengepresst\".
    Man kann ds spiel nicht abspeichern, nur nach jedem Level.
    Fazit: Jeder muss selbst entscheiden ob er es kauft oder nicht, es ist kein
    fataler Fehlkauf aber fesselt auch nicht wirklich vorm PC.
    Ich sitze jetzt seit ca. Andertalb Wochen am 2. Level und komme nicht weiter,
    das wird schon auf die dauer langweilig[/u]

Allerdings setzt Pilot Down: Behind Enemy Lines etwas früher an und steckt euch nicht gleich von Beginn an in ein schwer bewachtes Gefangenenlager, sondern gibt euch nach einer Notlandung im verschneiten Deutschland des Zweiten Weltkriegs sogar die Gelegenheit dieser gänzlich zu entgehen.
