Fazit

Oninaki setzt im Vergleich zu I am Setsuna und Lost Sphear nicht länger auf rundenbasierte ATB-Kämpfe, sondern auf Echtzeiteinsätze in klassischer Hack’n’Slay-Manier. Daher kommen Fans von Diablo und Co. dieses Mal eher auf ihre Kosten als Anhänger von Final Fantasy und Chrono Trigger. Das Szenario, in dem Sterbende nicht betrauert werden dürfen, damit sie wiedergeboren werden können, ist interessant, die Rolle eines Wächters zwischen Dies- und Jenseits, der verlorene Seelen als Waffen führt, emotional und ereignisreich. Man kann jederzeit auf Knopfdruck zwischen verschiedenen Seelen sowie der Welt der Toten und der der Lebenden wechseln. Erkundungsreize und Interaktionsmöglichkeiten halten sich trotz des zweistufigen Leveldsigns allerdings in Grenzen. Zudem ist das Charakterdesign sehr generisch, Technik und Inszenierung eher unspektakulär. Dank individuell freischaltbarer Erinnerungen und Fertigkeiten sowie modifizierbarer Waffen und Angriffe werden Genrefans unterm Strich aber ordentlich unterhalten.

So werde ichs auch hier halten. Optisch sind die Spiele meiner Meinung nach aufgrund des eher einfallslosen Art Designs von Spielwelt, Protagonisten und Gegnern schon abschreckend.     Die Games haben alle ihren eigenen Charme.. man muss da einwenig zwischen die Pixel schauen 😆. I am Setsuna z. B. glänzt mit dem Klavier Soundtrack. Klar wenn man nicht auf Klassik abfährt, gut möglich das man da eher genervt von ist.
    Lost Sphear, was zur Zeit spiele hat das coole Skill Upgrade Feature.. ich stehe ja drauf, mich komplett zu overpowern und da geht das wunder bar.
    Auf Oninaki freu ich mich auch schon.. mir hat das Artdesign der Demo gut gefallen. Klar nicht State of the Art, aber auf der anderen Seite, so n Gears 5 langweilt mich innerhalb von 5 Minuten zu tode.. Optik ist nicht alles.
    Ich wollte nicht auf die grafische Pracht sondern auf die künstlerische Gestaltung hinaus. Als Referenz wuerde ich da eher ein Persona 5 oder das aktuelle Astral Chain nennen. Die Extraklasse muss es nicht zwingend sein, aber die bisherigen Spiele des Studios sehen iwie alle austauschbar aus. Nimm ein Octopath Traveler. Trotz eigentlich altbackenem 2D ein Hingucker.
    Schnell mögliches Überlveln ist fuer mich übrigens eher ein weiterer Kritikpunkt. Wenn die Gegener nicht entsprechend fordernd sind habe ich auch kein Interesse daran Charaktere hochzuleveln.
