Fazit


Auch auf der PS2 ist Mystic Heroes kein Dynasty Warriors im Kulleraugen-Look. Dazu ist das Gameplay einfach zu monoton und substanzlos. Selbst Anfänger, die sich zu Beginn über die eingängige Steuerung und den unkomplizierten Spielverlauf gefreut haben, dürften sich schnell über die mangelnden Einfluss- und Aktionsmöglichkeiten während der stupiden Massenkeilereien ärgern. Zwar sind auch Dynasty-Warriors 2 & 3 nicht gerade taktische Schwergewichte, aber was Mystic Heroes dem Spieler anzubieten hat, ist einfach nur primitiv und langweilig – ganz gleich, ob Ihr alleine oder zu viert in die Schlacht zieht. Zwar sorgen PS2-exklusive Neuerungen wie der Missionsmodus für mehr Abwechslung und Herausforderung, aber entscheidende Spielspaßsteigerungen bleiben aus. Nur wer auf sinnfreies Dauergemetzel mit marginalen Rollenspielanleihen und kindlicher Präsentation steht, sollte einen Kauf in Erwägung ziehen, ansonsten greift lieber zur erwachseneren Vorlage.

  1. hab die Cube Version, und auf dem Cube zählt es meiner Meinung nach zu dem besten.
    Aber an Dynasty Warriors kommt es nicht ran. Dafür ist DW einfach zu genial.

  3. Für Dynasty-Warrior-Fans hat Koei nun auch auf der PS2 die kindgerechte Alternative Mystic Heroes im Angebot. Das vor ein paar Monaten erschienene GameCube-Original konnte uns damals allerdings noch nicht überzeugen. Für die Sony-Konsole haben sich die Entwickler jedoch nochmals an die Arbeit gemacht und einige exklusive Features eingebaut. Ob und wie weit diese Auswirkungen auf den Spielspaß haben, klärt unser Testbericht.
