Fazit

Wer nach Street Fighter 5 und BlazBlue Chronophantasma Extend immer noch nicht genug vom klassischen Prügeln hat, kann einen Blick riskieren. Hinsichtlich Kulisse, Mechanik und Umfang wirkt Melty Blood Actress Again Current Code zwar altbacken und ist mir “zu” alte Schule, doch das Kampfsystem funktioniert dennoch gut. Die Duelle sind schnell, die Kollisionsabfrage ist größtenteils akkurat und mit einem zweiten Spieler kommt es packenden Gefechten. Online-Kämpfe sollte man dank des mageren Netzcodes, an dem seit Release geschraubt wird, allerdings meiden. Und auf eine umfangreiche Modus-Auswahl sollte man auch nicht setzen – es gibt nicht einmal ein interaktives Training, sondern nur die Standard-Optionen, um die Kombos und Spezialbewegungen zu üben. Dafür allerdings bietet man über 30 abwechslungsreiche Kämpfer, die man in je drei Styles auf über 50 Stages antreten lassen kann. Ein netter Prügelspaß für zwischendurch.

    Melty Blood basiert auf den gesammelten Werken von Type-Moon.
    Einer japanischen Visaul Novel-Schniede, welche unter anderen Klassiker des Genres
    wie Fate/stay Night, Tsukihime oder Kara no Kyoukai geschaffen hat.
    Zumindest das hätte man wohl erwarten können, dass das recherchiert wird.
    Edit: Das Spiel scheint in der FGC auch nicht allzu schlecht angesehen zu sein und hat eine zwar kleine aber lebendige Fangemeinde.
