Fazit

Juhu: X8 ist in nahezu jeder Hinsicht besser als X7! Oh Mist: In genau einer Kategorie ist das Game gleich geblieben – dem Design. Okay, keiner erwartet, dass ein seit 18 Jahren fast unverändertes Spielprinzip mit einem Mal über den Haufen geworfen wird. Aber etwas mehr als ein Rudel neuer Levels und Bosse aus dem »Mega Man Construction Kit« hätte man schon erwarten können. Einige frische Ideen wie die unterschiedlichen Gravitationsverhältnisse in Prime Rose wirken durchdacht, einige Levelabschnitte sind überraschend, die neuen Navigatoren nett, der Schwierigkeitsgrad wie gewohnt angemessen haarsträubend. Alles wie gehabt also: Für Mega-Fans wie so oft ein Pflichtkauf, für Einsteiger zu viel des Guten, für Innovationsfreunde Gift im Auge. Ganz der Megaman eben.
