Steuerung

Gesteuert wird Heavy Metal FAKK2 per Maus und Tastatur. Die Waffenwahl ist sehr gewöhnungsbedürftig, da auf Knopfdruck nur ein Untermenü aufpoppt. Durch erneutes Drücken der entsprechenden Taste kann der Spieler nun die gewünschte Waffe wählen. Dies kann im Eifer des Gefechts manchmal tragisch sein, da hierdurch die Waffenwahl zu lange dauert und des öfteren falsche Waffe gewählt werden.

Wie schon erwähnt ist die Steuerung nicht allzu genau. So ist es oft nicht möglich, langsam an einen Abhang heranzugehen, ohne vom Rand zu stürzen, oder wie bei Tomb Raider genau seinen Anlaufweg auszumessen.
