Fazit

Warnung: Wer hier ein portables San Andreas erwartet, wird schwer enttäuscht! Wer (wie ich) hingegen die ersten beiden GTAs geliebt hat, wird Freudensprünge machen. Der kleine Gangster bietet alles, was auch seine großen Brüder haben: rasante Verfolgungsjagden, ein gigantisches Spielgebiet, massenhaft Missionen, umfangreiche Statistiken, grimmigen Humor und etwas Brutalität – überfahrene Fußgänger sind rote Flatschen. Das neue Save & Quit-Feature ist sinnvoll, die unterschiedlichen Radiostationen angenehm abwechslungsreich, auch wenn die Musik auf Dauer unvermeidlich zu Wiederholung tendiert. Allerdings ist nicht alles eitel Gangsterschein – die ruckelige Grafik zieht den Verfolgungsjagden erheblich den Zahn, das mangels Übersichtskarte unvermeidliche Auswendiglernen der Stadt dauert eine ganze Weile. Und die hakelige Fußgängersteuerung ist zwar besser als bei den bisherigen Versionen, aber immer noch nicht optimal und weit vom Fluss der Fahrzeugkontrolle entfernt. Wie auch immer: GTA Advance bietet sehr viel Spiel fürs Geld – wer mit der Thematik und der antiquierten Technik kein Problem hat, wird hier sehr lange sehr gut unterhalten.
