Fazit

Auf den ersten Blick hat sich Ten Hammers gegenüber seinem Vorgänger in fast allen Belangen verbessert: Die Handhabung ist komfortabler und facettenreicher, mehrstöckige Gebäude können betreten, Fahrzeuge gesteuert, Teams aufgeteilt werden und der Mehrspielermodus wurde sinnvoll erweitert. Trotzdem bleibt die Begeisterung darüber irgendwie aus. Das pseudofiktive Szenario wirkt lieblos aufgekocht und trieft vor plumper Armypropaganda. Kamera, Kollisionsabfrage und KI sorgen immer noch für Kopfschütteln, während der hohe, aber realistische Schwierigkeitsgrad jeden interessierten Neueinsteiger in die Flucht schlagen dürfte. Zudem ist der damalige Innovationsbonus aufgebraucht und die technische Entwicklung stand quasi zwei Jahre still. Auf der PS2 wirkt die Präsentation mit matschigen Texturen, abgespeckten Effekten und holpriger Bildrate fast schon antiquiert – vom kastrierten Multiplayer ganz zu schweigen. Ein schlechtes Spiel ist Ten Hammers trotzdem nicht. Das Spielgefühl ist nach wie vor einzigartig und die Atmosphäre ungemein intensiv. Für einen erneuten Award hätte man sich aber konsequenter um die Beseitigung bestehender Mängel kümmern, mehr Feintuning betreiben und am besten auch das ausgelutschte Szenario samt aufdringlichem Patriotismus hinter sich lassen sollen, statt neuerdings die Zensurschere auszupacken…

    versuch's mal mit "FULLSPECTRUMPWNAGE" das sollte alle Solo-Missionen für den Ko-Op freischalten ;)
    Irgendwo habe ich aber auch mal zu dem Spiel gelesen, dass es ne extra Koop-Kampagne gibt (also zusätzlich), muss man die auch freispielen, oder ist das nur nen Gerücht?
    ich tippe auf ein gerücht oder die ist so gut versteckt, dass sie bisher noch niemand gefunden hat ^^
