Der Tyrann ist tot, der Krieg geht weiter

Auch wenn das Szenario fiktiv ist, ist es doch offensichtlich, dass Full Spectrum Warrior mit den Ereignissen des Irak-Kriegs kokettiert.

Bla, bla ,bla: Trotz Medienpräsenz bleibt ihr von plumper US Army-Propaganda nicht verschont (PS2).

Hat man im Erstling noch gegen das Terrorregime von Zekistans Diktator Al-Afad interveniert, ist der Despot mittlerweile gestürzt und zivile Unruhen plagen das Land, da lange unterdrückte ethnische Feindseligkeiten in offene Gewalt umschlugen. Natürlich liegt es einmal mehr an den USA und ihren Alliierten den Konflikt zu beenden und die Lage zu stabilisieren. Euch verschlägt es dabei in die Namen gebende Provinz Tien-Hamir (Ten Hammers), wo Separatisten mit Gewalt eine Unabhängigkeitsbewegung forcieren, die es zu stoppen gilt.

Dazu übernehmt ihr die Kontrolle über ein vierköpfiges Squad-Team, dessen Auftrag es ist, Rebellennester in Tien-Hamirs Hauptstadt Khardiman auszuheben. Oft dirigiert ihr sogar mehrere Teams, wobei ihr euer eigenes Team neuerdings auch jederzeit zweiteilen könnt. Neu ist diesbezüglich auch die Möglichkeit einen einzelnen Soldaten als Späher vorauszuschicken, um mögliche Hinterhalte zu entlarven. Full Spectrum Warrior-Veteranen werden sich trotzdem schnell zurechtfinden, während euch ein Spiel begleitendes Tutorial mit sämtlichen Neuerungen sowie dem unveränderten Grundprinzip des Spiels Schritt für Schritt vertraut macht.

Am bekannten Spielablauf hat sich nicht viel geändert. Nach wie vor schickt ihr euer Team per intelligentem Bewegungscursor von Deckung zu Deckung, nehmt auftauchende Rebellen unter Beschuss und versucht heil am nächsten Zielort anzukommen. Verletzte Kameraden können zwar geschultert und an fixen Sani-Stationen wieder fit gemacht werden, aber sobald mehr als zwei Teammitglieder getroffen wurden, heißt es in einer martialischen Zeitlupensequenz – inklusive gelegentlicher Clippingorgien – Game Over und ihr findet euch am zuletzt passierten Checkpoint wieder.

Innere Anspannung: Noch ist alles ruhig, doch schon hinter der nächsten Ecke könnte der Tod lauern (Xbox).

 Das Vergießen roter Lebenssäfte wurde dieses Mal übrigens komplett aus der deutschen Fassung verbannt, obwohl die Altersfreigabe die gleiche ist wie beim “blutigen” Vorgänger. Da hätte man lieber Zeit in eine optionale deutsche Synchro investieren sollen, um Englischlaien den Zugang zu erleichtern.

Am englischen Originalton gibt es jedoch generell nicht viel auszusetzen, außer dass sich einige Sprachsamples ständig wiederholen und die Dialogsequenzen teils von äußerst plumpem Patriotismus und aufdringlicher Armeepropaganda durchzogen sind. Weiß doch jeder, dass die USA jedem Konflikt gewachsen sind und das Leben erst in der Army einen Sinn bekommt… Übertrieben haben die Entwickler teils auch beim Schwierigkeitsgrad. Selbst auf der niedrigsten Stufe wird euer Team oft in Nullkommanix ausgelöscht, bevor ihr überhaupt wisst, was los ist. Das liegt vor allem daran, dass eure Recken immense Probleme mit beweglichen Zielen und Feuergefechten auf kurze Distanz haben – eure Gegner allerdings nicht! Das ist unfair und sorgt trotz fair platzierter Speicherpunkte für frustrierendes Trial&Error.

    versuch's mal mit "FULLSPECTRUMPWNAGE" das sollte alle Solo-Missionen für den Ko-Op freischalten ;)
    Irgendwo habe ich aber auch mal zu dem Spiel gelesen, dass es ne extra Koop-Kampagne gibt (also zusätzlich), muss man die auch freispielen, oder ist das nur nen Gerücht?
    ich tippe auf ein gerücht oder die ist so gut versteckt, dass sie bisher noch niemand gefunden hat ^^
