Blizzard zählt weltweit zu den erfolgreichsten Spieleherstellern. Einer der Gründe, der zu Ihrem Erfolg führte, ist sicherlich, dass sie von Ihren Mitarbeitern nicht nur das höchste Können erwarten, sondern auch spielerischen Enthusiasmus verlangen. Dass dieses Konzept Erfolg hat, sieht man daran, dass Diablo 2 über zwei Millionen Mal verkauft wurde und somit zu einem der weltweit meistverkauftesten Spiele zählt. Aber damit nicht genug, wollen sie dem Ganzen mit dem Expansions-Set (5.Akt) auch noch die goldene Krone aufsetzen.

Story

Die Geschichte besteht darin, dass Baal, der dritte der Brüder des Bösen, sich mit dem Weltenstein tief in den Berg Mont Arreat zurückgezogen hat, um die Weltherrschaft zu erlangen. Er beschwört finstere Monster, grausige Zauber und Waffen, um Euch den Weg zu ihm so schwierig wie möglich zu gestalten. Ihr müsst kämpfend durch die Barbarian Highlands ziehen, Eishöhlen durchqueren und bis zur Spitze des Berges Arreat gelangen, wo Euch schließlich tief im Weltsteinturm der finalen Kampf gegen Baal erwartet.

Gameplay

Insgesamt gibt es sechs neue Quests, dazu neue Monster, Items und das Wichtigste: zwei neue Charaktere. Die Assassine und den Druiden, die mit Ihren neuen Fertigkeiten wieder so richtig Leben ins Spiel bringen. Die zwei neuen Helden sind von ihren Fähigkeiten her so faszinierend gestaltet, dass man niemals genug Punkte zu verteilen haben kann, um all diese Dinge auszuprobieren – auf geht`s:

  3. Haha. Die Wertung kann ich aber auch gar nicht nachvollziehen. Wenn man mal sieht was "AddOns" heute nur machen, dann war LoD doch schon fast ein neues Spiel, so wie es das Hauptspiel erweitert hat.
    Wenn der Patch 1.13 kommt, bin ich evtl. auch mal wieder dabei. Habe das Spiel bestimmt schon 3-4 Jahr nicht mehr gespielt... Wobei ich auch die "Angst" habe, dass die Erwartungen, die ich durch die tollen Erinnerungen an das Spiel habe, heutzutage enttäuscht würden. Hat sich ja doch einiges getan, seitdem ich zu anfang von Patch 1.10 ausgestiegen bin.

  4. Und was soll die Neuwertung bringen?! Der Test ist von 2001, das interessiert doch heute keine Sau mehr.
    Wichtiger ist - sollte man (wie ich grad mal wieder) Diablo 2 spielen - dass das Addon greifbar und installiert ist, denn damit macht es viel mehr Spaß als Classic D2. Wen interessiert da noch eine Wertung von anno dazumal?
