Story

“Banditen, auf fünf Uhr, gleiche Höhe! Der Warnruf des Heckschützen hallt noch in meinen Ohren. Von allen Seiten kommen jetzt die Meldungen über Feindjäger, Leuchtspurgeschosse pfeifen vorbei, es ist als würde unser Geschwader von einem Schwarm zorniger Wespen attackiert. Ich höre, wie meine Bordschützen das Feuer erwidern. Plötzlich ein dumpfer Schlag. Was war das ? Die Instrumente sagen mir, dass Motor Nummer drei getroffen wurde. Treibstoffzufuhr abstellen, Propeller auf Segelstellung. Puh, aufatmen. Ich kann beobachten, wie unser Formationsnachbar getroffen wird und in einer tödlichen Spirale zu Boden stürzt. Keine Fallschirme zu sehen. Immer noch greifen die Feinde mit unverminderter Heftigkeit an; und wir haben erst die Hälfte unseres Wegs zurückgelegt. Vielleicht sollte ich mich selbst um die Geschütze kümmern …”

Dies ist kein Augenzeugenbericht sondern die Beschreibung eines ganz normalen “Einsatzes”. Microprose versetzt den Spieler mit B-17 FF in eine Zeit, in der Fliegen über Europa keineswegs die sicherste Art der Fortbewegung war: Den 2. Weltkrieg. Der geübte PC-Pilot hat die Möglichkeit, an den Tagbombereinsätzen der 8. Amerikanischen Luftflotte (“The Mighty 8th”) teilzunehmen, sei es nun auf einer (oder allen) der zehn Kampfstationen an Bord einer B-17, oder aus dem engen Cockpit eines Begleitjägers (Lightning, Thunderbolt, Mustang) heraus. Sogar die Abfangjäger der deutschen Luftwaffe (Me 109, Fw 190, Me 262) können während einer [amerikanischen] Mission geflogen werden !

  3. ich finde Spiele mit Toller Grafik aber Extrem komplizierter Steuerung sollten verboten werden.es ist einfach eine Abzocke,denn was soll man mit einem Spiel das sich nicht steuern lässt denn anfangen 40-50€uro futsch Spass=0.Nein Danke sowas brauchen wir (ich zumindest)nicht.
