Nachdem das starke Soulslike Mortal Shell den Xbox Game Pass eigentlich im November 2022 verlassen hatte, kehrt es nun überraschenderweise zurück in den Spielekatalog von Microsofts Abo-Service.

Der Titel aus dem Jahre 2020 wurde von Cold Symmetry entwickelt und orientiert sich stark an seinen namhaften Vorbildern wie zum Beispiel FromSoftwares Soulsborne-Spielen. Dennoch kommt das Action-Rollenspiel in dunklem Fantasy-Setting mit einem ganz eigenen Twist.

Mortal Shell im Xbox Game Pass: Comeback nach wenigen Monaten


In Mortal Shell könnt ihr nämlich gefallene Krieger, auch “Shells”, also eine Art “Hülle”, genannt, finden und ihre leblosen Körper “besetzen”. So kämpft ihr dann gegen die bitterbösen Feinde, die sich euch im starken Soulslike, das in unserem ausführlichen Test ebenfalls gut wegkam, in den Weg stellen. Ab sofort könnt ihr den Titel, wie noch vor wenigen Monaten, im Zuge des Xbox Game Pass herunterladen und ohne weitere Kosten spielen.



Großartige weitere Neuigkeiten hinsichtlich des Abo-Angebots von Microsoft vermissen wir derweil allerdings, sind die Neuankündigungen für den Januar doch eher spärlich gesät und eine offizielle Liste bislang ausstehend. Seit dem 3. Januar steht uns das Survival-Spiel Stranded Deep frisch zur Auswahl, außerdem gibt es noch einige Gerüchte über diverse Ergänzungen, die zum Jahresbeginn folgen könnten.

Ganz sicher steht es jedoch um Persona 4 Golden und Persona 3 Portable, die ab dem 19. Januar ihr Zuhause im Xbox Game Pass finden. Der gefeierte fünfte Teil, der unter anderem zu einem unserer persönlichen Favoriten des letzten Jahres zählte, ist schon etwas länger im Spielekatalog des Game Pass zu finden. Spannend sind aber vor allem die neuen Titel, die Microsoft noch in diesem Jahr für den Xbox Game Pass in der Hinterhand hält. Beispielsweise Starfield, das jedoch erst nach Redfall kommen soll.
