Vor einem Jahr sorgte ein erstaunlich kleiner VR-Brillen-Prototyp von Panasonic im Schwimm- bzw. Schweißerbrillen-Design für Aufsehen auf der CES (Details dazu hier), da neuartige Micro-OLED-Displays von Kopin verbaut waren. Wie AV Watch (via Mixed.de) berichtet, wurde auf der diesjährigen Online-Ausgabe der Messe eine überarbeitete Version der “VR Glasses” präsentiert, welche pro Auge stolze 2.560 x 2.560 Pixel bietet (vormals 1.920 x 2.160 Bildpunkte), und zwar bei respektablen 120 Hertz.

Zum Vergleich: Die HP Reverb G2 zählt derzeit zu den Auflösungs-Highlights unter Konsumenten-Headsets und bietet 2.160 x 2.160 Pixel pro Auge und die Valve Index wiederum bietet Freunden flüssiger Bewegungen hohe 144 Hertz. Mixed.de erläutert:

“Die wichtigste Neuerung sind die Inside-Out-Trackingkameras, die neu 6DoF-Tracking ermöglichen. Die VR-Brille hat keinen Prozessor verbaut und bedarf eines Zuspielers: Via USB-C Kabel wird das Gerät an ein Android-Smartphone oder PC angeschlossen. Sie soll mit SteamVR kompatibel sein.”

Der oft kritisierte wacklige Sitz sei mit gebogenen Bügeln am Hinterkopf verbessert worden; ehemalige Ohrstöpsel wurden mit in den Bügeln integrierten Technics-Lautsprechern ersetzt. HDR-Unterstützung und ein mechanischer Regler für den Augenabstand (IPD-Regler) sind nach wie vor an Bord. Genauere Infos zum Release oder einem Preis wurden erneut nicht verraten, die Brille richte sich allerdings an Endkunden sowie Geschäftskunden.

  1. Interessant wird es beim FoV und wie gut das Inside Tracking denn so funktioniert. Ich musste leider meine Reverb G2 retounieren, da waren graue Schleier im Bild und Tracking war leider wirklich zu schlecht, ein respektabler Ersatz wäre also ganz nett. Leider habe ich festgestellt dass ich vor allem bei abnehmenden SDE mehr Immersion erhalte, weswegen die Index aktuell keine Option mehr für mich ist. Als Zwischenlösung ist jetzt die Quest 2 für mich da, welches echt ein gutes Headset ist, aber eigentlich hab ich kein Bock auf Facebook...hoffentlich bringt die Zukunft noch viele neue Entwicklungen in dem Bereich.

Die ersten Specs hören sich zwar gut an, ich kann aber gar nicht laut genug sagen wie lächerlich das in diesem Bild aussieht :lol: Aber zumindest stimmt die Richtung schon mal ---> Kleiner als andere Brillen. Stellt sich die Frage wie groß das Sichtfeld ist? Natürlich hätte ich noch viel mehr Fragen. Denke aber das es da bald eh jede Menge Berichte geben wird.
