Ultrakill(Shooter) von New Blood Interactive

Am 3. September 2020 haben Arsi “Hakita” Patala und New Blood Interactive (Dusk, Amid Evil) den Retro-Shooter Ultrakill im Early Access für PC veröffentlicht, wo er voraussichtlich bis Ende 2021 zusammen mit der Community fertiggestellt werden soll. Auf Steam wird noch bis zum 7. September ein Launch-Rabatt von 20 Prozent auf den im Lauf der Entwicklung weiter ansteigenden Verkaufspreis gewährt (13,43 Euro statt 16,79 Euro). Eine kostenlose Demo steht ebenfalls zum Download bereit.

Das als schnell und brutal bezeichnete Ultrakill soll klassische Ego-Shooter wie Quake mit modernen Genrevertretern wie Doom (2016) sowie Actionspielen à la Devil May Cry verschmelzen und von Dante’s Inferno inspirierte Spielumgebungen bieten. Bislang scheint der Mix jedenfalls sehr gut anzukommen, denn die bisherigen Nutzerreviews sind “sehr positiv” (aktuell sind 99 Prozent von 286 Reviews positiv).
