The Witcher: Monster Slayer ist für Smartphones und Tablets veröffentlicht worden (Apple App Store und Google Play). Der Free-to-play-Titel mit optionalen Ingame-Käufen ist ein Location-basiertes Augmented-Reality-Rollenspiel, das in etwa mit Pokémon GO verglichen werden kann. In dem Spiel übernimmt man die Rolle eines frisch ausgebildeten Witcher-Adepten und jagt bzw. bekämpft je nach Standort und Tageszeit über 100 bekannte sowie neue Monster aus der Witcher-Welt.

In den ersten Nutzerreviews und Reaktionen (Android) werden u.a. die langen Wartungsarbeiten am Launch-Tag und einige Fehler im Spiel (sofortiges Erreichen der Maximalstufe) kritisiert.

Spielbeschreibung des Herstellers: “The Witcher: Monster Slayer ist ein Augmented-Reality-Erkundungsspiel, das dich herausfordert, zu einem der besten Monsterjäger zu werden. Während du die reale Welt um dich herum erkundest, führt dich jeder Schritt tiefer in ein dunkles Fantasy-Abenteuer hinein, das seinesgleichen sucht. Spüre Monster auf, mache dich mit ihren Gewohnheiten vertraut und bereite dich auf den Kampf vor. Wähle die besten Waffen und Rüstungen aus und braue mächtige Hexertränke, um schon vor einem Kampf die Oberhand zu gewinnen.
