Geralt von Riva ist ein Vermarktungsprofi: Statuen, Artbooks, Cosplay-Wettbewerbe, polnische Energy Drinks, Spin-offs und vieles mehr gibt es zum rundum beliebten Witcher. Jetzt kommt bald ein offizielles Kochbuch dazu. Warum offiziell? Weil es ein inoffizielles bereits seit August 2020 gibt – dessen amazon-Bewertungen lassen auf ein durchaus gelungenes Printprodukt schließen.

Doch deswegen sind wir ja nicht hier: Diesmal geht es um “The Witcher Cookbook” von Anita Sarna und Karolina Krupecka. Das enthält 80 Rezepte, die laut Beschreibungstext dafür sorgen, dass einem “das Wasser im Munde zusammenläuft”. Auf 240 Seiten, im Hardcover-Einband zum Preis von 35 US-Dollar, werden so wohlklingende Dinge wie gebackenes Obst aus Weißgarten, Fischgerichte der Skellige-Inseln sowie Festtagsspeisen aus den Sonnenregionen Beauclair und Toussaint bebildert und erklärt. Das englischsprachige Druckerzeugnis soll am 25. Oktober 2022 im renommierten Penguin Random House Verlag erscheinen; eine deutsche Fassung ist bislang nicht angekündigt. Sollte dies alsbald passieren, halten wir euch natürlich auf dem Laufenden.

    Wenn ich mich richtig erinnere, ist Plötze durch die schiere Grätenzahl praktisch ungenießbar. Der Fisch besteht eigentlich nur aus Gräten, ist wie Spareribs futtern, nur mit nochmal deutlich kleinerer Fleischausbeute. Gaul habe ich noch nicht probiert. :roll:

    Es ist ein Kochbuch und keine alchemistischer Almanach. Aber es gibt zB Horka-Hackbraten (mit viiieeeel Speck!)

  4. Wir haben seit letztes Jahr u.a. das Skyrim Kochbuch. Ist jetzt auch nicht mein Merch No.1, aber es macht schon Spaß gemeinsam die Speisen zu planen und zuzubereiten. Wenn dann noch ein Rollenspiel (Tisch oder Screen) oder Fantasy Film/Serie folgt ist doch cool.
    Die Rezepte weichen schon stark von der üblichen Standardküche ab. Bereits die genannten Gewürze zu bekommen hat einiges an Zeit und Geld verschlungen. Manchmal war es auch schlicht nicht möglich.
    Das reale Zutaten benötigt werden ist doch klar, aber mit etwas Fantasy kann aus gewöhnlichen Zutaten was ganz fantastisches werden..
