Im beliebten Prügler Super Smash Bros Ultimate wird zum letzten Mal an der Kampfmechanik geschraubt. Dies gab Nintendo beim Start der Update-Version 13.0.1 bekannt, wie die Kollegen von VGC mit einem Hinweis auf den offiziellen japanischen Twitter-Feed anmerken. Demnach sollen damit die Balance-Anpassungen abgeschlossen sein. Sollte es danach weitere Updates geben, werden diese sich wahrscheinlich nur auf Fehlerbehebungen beziehen.

Grund dafür dürfte auch das Hinzufügen des letzten DLC-Charakters (Sora aus Kingdom Hearts) im Oktober sein: Damit wurde der DLC-Plan von Nintendo offiziell beendet: In beinahe drei Jahren wurden dem Spiel elf neue Figuren hinzugefügt. Weitere Neuzugänge sind nicht geplant.

Das neue Update enthält nochmals mehrere Korrekturen bzw. Änderungen der Spielbalance. Für den finalen DLC-Kämpfer Sora z.B. wurde die Länge seiner Animationen angepasst, damit er an die anderen Kämpfer angeglichen wird. Ein weiteres Highlight ist die Unterstützung für den Metroid-Dread-amiibo von Samus und E.M.M.I. Alle weiteren Änderungen aus dem Update könnt ihr hier nachlesen.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate wurde am 7. Dezember 2018 auf Switch veröffentlicht und konnte sich im Test auf 4Players.de einen Gold-Award sichern.
