Die Gerüchteküche hat zuletzt heiß gekocht, jetzt ist es tatsächlich wahr geworden: Während der Nintendo Direct wurde ein neues Mario-Spiel angekündigt. Super Marios Bros. Wonder wird jedoch kein klassischer Nachfolger zu Super Mario Odyssey, sondern versetzt den italienischen Klempner wieder in eine 2D-Welt.

Die Überraschung hört jedoch nicht bei der Ankündigung auf: Der Release ist auch schon in wenigen Monaten. Laut Nintendo wird Super Marios Bros. Wonder bereits am 20. Oktober 2023 erscheinen – natürlich exklusiv für die Nintendo Switch.

Der erste Blick auf New Super Mario Bros. Wonder zeigt einen leicht veränderten Grafikstil: Alles ist etwas verträumt, während die Farben fast schon pastellähnlich wirken. Spielerisch bleibt es hingegen klassisch: Es geht von links nach rechts, man sammelt Münzen, schnappt sich Pilze und hüpft auf Gegner. 



Zumindest will euch Nintendo das glauben lassen, aber nachdem Mario eine blau-leuchtende Blume aufsammelt, landet er in einer alternativen Welt, in der sich die Röhren auf einmal auf und ab bewegen oder wie eine Schlange über den Boden kriechen. In einem anderen Level sieht man nur noch Schatten und Mario bekommt die Möglichkeit, seine Beine massiv zu verlängern; die Gegner aber leider auch.

Mario ist zudem nicht der einzige, der in Super Mario Bros. Wonder von der Partie ist. Auch Luigi, Prinzessin Peach, Daisy und Toad sind spielbar und kämpfen sich durch die sehr wundervollen Welten. Wahlweise im sogar im Koop-Modus für bis zu vier Spieler. Und dann ist da noch ein neues Power-Up, mit dem sich Mario kurzerhand in einen Elefanten verwandelt – ein gewisser Benjamin lässt grüßen?

  5. Als Erben der Ideen-Feuerwerke "Super Mario Bros. 3" und "Super Mario World" waren mir die "New Super Mario Bros."-Spiele immer eine Ecke zu "solide" und einfallslos. Bin gerade nicht sicher, ob mir das hier gleich ein paar Ecken zu weit geht xD ...aber nach haufenweise Spaß sieht es aus :mrgreen:
