In einem Interview mit der Famitsu (via DualShockers) haben Game Director Kazunori Kadoi, Team Director Yasuhiro Ampo und Producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi weitere Einzelheiten zur Neuauflage von Resident Evil 2 verraten. Generell schreite die Entwicklung zügig voran und trotz gleicher Engine wie in Resident Evil 7 biohazard verfolge man dieses Mal eher eine cineastische als eine photorealistische Darstellung, was viel Trial & Error erfodert habe.

Das Aussehen und die Outfits von Leon (21 Jahre) und Claire (19 Jahre) seien neu gestaltet worden, um dem Szenario besser zu entsprechen. Leons Gesicht entstamme allerdings einem anderen Model als sein Körper, da man keinen passenden Kandidaten für beides fand. Insgesamt ähnle sein Erscheinungsbild nun eher dem aus Resident Evil 4. Claire wirke hingegen jünger und femininer, während Sherry (12 Jahre) älter und reifer daherkomme.

Zu Ada Wong machte man keine Angaben, nur dass sie natürlich ebenfalls mit an Bord sei. Zudem wird ein hoher Wiederspielwert versprochen. Neben Original-Bonusinhalten wie “The 4th Survivor” und “The Tofu Survivor” bereiten sie auch noch etwas neues vor, ohne aber Details zu nennen. Darüber hinaus würde sich der Titel auch für Speed-Runs eignen. Selbst ein Durchgang nur mit Messereinsatz sei theoretisch möglich. Der Survival-Horror-Trip soll am 25. Januar 2019 in drei Editionen auf PC, PlayStation 4 und Xbox One erscheinen.

  2. ich fand teil 7 doof wegen der egoperspektive und freue mich auf das remake sehr, da ich denke das es sehr wahrscheinlich sich wie 4-6 (minus coop) spielen wird.

  4. alter 8O hab bisher noch nichts von dem Remake beachtet, dachte es wäre nur etwas aufpoliert
    aber das sieht ja wirklich top aktuell und recht spaßig aus
    nachdem Teil 7 mein Goty 2017 war, kommt das jetzt auch auf die viel zu lange Liste :Blauesauge:
