Ein paar Jahre hat die PlayStation 5 jetzt schon auf dem Buckel und trotz weniger Exklusivtitel einen Platz im Haushalt vieler Spieler gefunden. Doch welche Stars tummeln sich eigentlich auf der Konsole? Wir haben uns die PS5-Blockbuster einmal genauer angeschaut und verraten in unserer Liste, welche fünf Spiele ihr auf keinen Fall verpassen solltet.

Dass der ursprünglich exklusiv für die PlayStaton 4 erschienene Horror-Hit Until Dawn sich über eine Umsetzung für die PS5 und den PC freuen darf, ist bereits seit einiger Zeit ein offenes Geheimnis. Jüngst jedoch wurde der exakte Termin für den Release bekanntgegeben.

Bereits 2015 konnte Supermassives Star-besetzter Schocker uns das Fürchten lehren, nun soll das Grusel-Game mit neuer Technik noch einmal den modernen Standards entsprechend aufgehübscht werden. Und passend zur Halloween-Zeit kommen auch wir endlich in seinen Genuss.

Until Dawn: Release für PS5 und PC erfolgt im Oktober

Erst kürzlich ließ Sony die Katze aus dem Sack: Der vor fast zehn Jahren erschienene, interaktive Horrorfilm im Videospielformat, Until Dawn, feiert den Release seines Remakes am 4. Oktober des aktuellen Kalenderjahres. Als Plattformen entschied man sich ganz zur Freude der Fans nicht nur exklusiv für die PS5 – auch PC-Spieler dürfen endlich selbst Hand anlegen, ohne sich eine von Sonys Spielekonsolen zulegen oder ausleihen zu müssen.

Die Neuauflage wird von den Entwicklerinnen und Entwicklern von Ballistic Moon übernommen. Das Studio unterzieht dem etwas in die Jahre gekommenen Titel eine Grunderneuerung, die eine ganze Reihe technischer Verbesserungen umfasst. So läuft das Remake beispielsweise unter der Unreal Engine 5, aber auch Charaktermodelle, die Beleuchtung, Umgebungen und ihre Details sowie Requisiten und Animationen wurden aufgehübscht. Darüber hinaus soll Until Dawn auch von modernen Raytracing-Features profitieren. Schon jetzt zeigt ein entsprechender Trailer, worauf wir uns einstellen können:

Doch damit nicht genug: Freuen darf man sich wohl auch auf einen überarbeiteten Prolog, neu verteilte sowie gänzlich neue Sammel-Totems, einige frische anpassbare Einstellungen für die Barrierefreiheit und Benutzerfreundlichkeit und ein verbessertes Produktionsdesign. Ebenso erfreulich: Neue Mechaniken für die – in der ursprünglichen Version zugegeben stellenweise fummelige – Kamerasteuerung soll es auch geben.

Obendrein habe man auch an der Kinematografie des Spiels gewerkelt. Wenn ihr euch nicht länger gedulden könnt, habt ihr ab dem 21. August immerhin die Möglichkeit, eine Vorbestellung für das PS5- und PC-Remake aufzugeben. Wenn ihr euch noch unsicher seid, ob das einstige PS4-Spukspektakel euch auch so richtig schocken kann, werft am besten einen Blick auf unseren damaligen Test zu Until Dawn. Und: Fans des Titels dürfen sich doppelt freuen, denn auch eine Filmumsetzung ist für Until Dawn wohl geplant.
