Alte Schauplätze, neue Geschichten: One Piece Odyssey möchte die bekannten Stories der Strohhut-Piraten neu beleuchten und dabei alternative Geschichten mit überraschenden Enden erzählen.

 

Wurde dieses Anliegen in bisherigen Trailern zum Wüstenkönigreich Alabasta oder Venedig-Verschnitt Water Seven bereits angedeutet, lieferte das jüngste Werbevideo die Bestätigung und lockt Anime- und Manga-Fans mit veränderten Schicksalen beliebter Figuren. Und wen das eher skeptisch stimmt, darf bald mit einer kostenlosen Demo in See stechen.

One Piece Odyssey: Ausflug zur Gipfelschlacht und nach Dressrosa

Im neuen Trailer zum Anime-Abenteuer standen nun die beiden vorerst finalen Schauplätze im Vordergrund: Die Gipfelschlacht am Marine-Hauptquartier sowie das Königreich Dressrosa. Gesellt sich erster zusammen mit Alabasta und Water Seven zu den Abenteuern, die Ruffy und seine Freunde vor dem Zwei-Jahres-Zeitsprung erlebt haben, findet die Auseinandersetzung mit Don Quichotte de Flamingo bereits in der neuen Welt statt.

Eines haben die frisch angekündigten Kämpfe aber gemeinsam: Sie erschütterten die Welt von One Piece in ihren Grundfesten und sorgten für dramatische Auswirkungen. One Piece Odyssey stellt nun die Fragen: Was wäre, wenn die Dinge ganz anders gelaufen wären? Was wäre, wenn Ruffy bei der Gipfelschlacht seine Crew gehabt hätte, um seinen Bruder Ace zu retten?

Und was wäre, wenn Flamingos Bruder Rocinante bei Ruffys Ankunft auf Dressrosa noch gelebt und sich Flamingos desaströser Zerstörungswut in den Weg gestellt hätte? Mithilfe der Kraft der Erinnerungen will One Piece Odyssey diese Fragen beantworten und alternative Szenarien zu den bekannten Geschichten servieren.

Kostenlose Demo kurz vor Release und mögliche DLC-Pläne

Eine erste Kostprobe dieses Abenteuers gibt es dann am 10. Januar 2023, wenn drei Tage vor dem eigentlichen Release eine Gratis-Demo für die PlayStation und Xbox erscheint. Was genau euch in der kostenlosen Probefahrt erwartet, enthüllte man zwar nicht – dafür wird der Demofortschritt aber in die Vollversion übertragbar sein.

Mit Alabasta, Water Seven, der Gipfelschlacht und Dressrosa scheint man nun außerdem die finalen vier Schauplätze für One Piece Odyssey angekündigt zu haben (womit sich immerhin einer der drei Wünsche aus unserer Liste erfüllt hat). Da man jedoch schon jetzt kostenpflichtige DLC-Pläne für die Zukunft hat, folgen sicher noch der ein oder andere bekannte Ort aus dem One Piece-Universum.
