Naughty Dog: Projekt in Zusammenarbeit mit neuem PlayStation-Studio geplant

Auch nach The Last of Us Part 1 ist Entwicklerstudio Naughty Dog keine Pause vergönnt: Offenbar werkelt man laut einer Stellenanzeige nämlich bereits am nächsten großen Projekt.

 

Das soll in Zusammenarbeit mit einem neuen PlayStation-Studio entstehen und das Jobangebot stammt auch vom japanischen Unternehmen. Man sucht dort einen Senior Producer für das noch nicht benannte Entwicklerteam, das neben Naughty Dog auch mit der internen Produktionsgruppe PSS Visual Arts zusammenarbeiten soll.

Naughty Dog: Stellenanzeige von PlayStation deutet nächstes Spiel an

„Warum PlayStation?“ beginnt die besagte Stellenanzeige (via VGC) und beantwortet die Frage gleich selbst: „PlayStation ist nicht nur der beste Ort zum Spielen – es ist auch der beste Ort zum Arbeiten.“ Sieht man von dem einleitenden Eigenlob einmal ab, verstecken sich aber viele interessante Details zu dem Projekt des neuen Studios und Naughty Dog.

So heißt es im Jobangebot: „Sony PlayStation baut ein neues internes Spieleentwicklungsteam in Zusammenarbeit mit PSS Visual Arts auf, einer Preise gewinnenden, vollwertigen Produktionsgruppe, die sich auf Animation, Motion Capture, Cinematics, Kunst und Scanning spezialisiert hat. Es ist dasselbe erstklassige Team, das bekannt für seine Beteiligung am Last of Us-Franchise ist!“

Man habe „eine klare Vorstellung“

PSS Visual Arts ist aber nicht das einzige Team, das mit dem neu gegründeten Studio zusammenarbeiten soll und vorher maßgeblich an Last of Us beteiligt war: „Das Hochsichtbarkeits-Projekt wird zusammen mit Naughty Dog entwickelt. Wenn auch aktuell unangekündigt, haben wir eine klare Vorstellung und einen Plan für die Veröffentlichung.“

“Wir benutzen unsere bestehende Expertise und unser führendes Talent, um einen Maßstab für die visuelle Qualität und eine unwiderstehliche Erfahrung für unsere Spieler zu garantieren.“ 

Obwohl man also noch ziemlich am Anfang steht und neue Leute rekrutiert, scheint man sich seiner Sache sehr sicher zu sein. Der gesuchte Senior Producer soll Erfahrungen im AAA-Bereich haben, was angesichts der Beteiligung von Naughty Dog aber wohl wenig verwundern dürfte.

    Es scheint eine aktuelle Mode bei den Betreuern von Spielewebseiten zu sein (von "Journalismus" will man da nicht mehr sprechen), PR-Blödsinn per Copy & Paste wörtlich wiedergeben zu müssen. Ist ja auch billiger Füllcontent, insofern verständlich.
    Die PR-Abteilungen der Hersteller wird's sicher freuen.
