Bei Mortal Kombat 1 handelt sich um ein Reboot der Kampfspiel-Reihe von Warner Bros, die im Jahr 1993 erstmals veröffentlicht wurde und jetzt einen Neustart hinlegen soll. Das Fighting-Game erscheint am 19. September 2023 für PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series und Playstation 5. Wer mehr bezahlt, darf eher zocken: So konnten sich einige Spieler bereits am 14. September zu prügeln beginnen.

 

 

Internationale Tester durften deutlich eher zuschlagen, weshalb sie bereits jetzt ihre umfänglichen Eindrücke schildern und Mortal Kombat 1 eine Wertung geben. Die fallen bisher sehr positiv aus, weshalb wir euch ein paar der weltweiten Pressestimmen nicht vorenthalten wollen.

 

Mortal Kombat 1: Internationale Presse ist begeistert – 86 Punkte auf Metacritic

 

Unter den Klassikern der Kampfspiele ist Mortal Kombat längst nicht mehr wegzudenken, weshalb Fans schon lange auf den Reboot hinfiebern. Ihr begegnet altbekannten Charakteren, spielt dabei jedoch ein neues Spiel: Mortal Kombat 1 bietet ein neues Kampfsystem und unterschiedliche Spielmodi. Euch erwarten spannende Kämpfe, die schnell mal blutig werden können.

Auf der Website Metacritic, die alle möglichen Pressestimmen sammelt und daraus eine Gesamtwertung errechnet. Basierend auf zwölf Kritiken, jeweils getestet auf der Playstation 5, erhält Mortal Kombat 1 bisher eine durchschnittliche Bewertung von 86 – maximal möglich sind 100 Punkte. Wir fassen ein paar Stimmen für euch zusammen:

 

 

  • Gaming Age vergibt 100 Punkte: „Alles in allem ist Mortal Kombat 1 ein aufpoliertes, wunderschönes Kunstwerk und ein außerordentlich innovativer Einstieg in ein lange bestehendes Franchise“
  • CGMagazine vergibt 90 Punkte: „Mortal Kombat 1 ist ein exzellenter Einstiegspunkt für Anfänger und wiederkehrende Fans. Es stellt jedes vorherige Mortal Kombat in den Schatten, indem es intuitive Befehle und interessante Modi benutzt. NetherRealm dreht die Brutalität besonders hoch und ich kann kaum erwarten, zu sehen, was sie noch bereithalten“
  • VG247 vergibt 80 Punkte: „Mortal Kombat 1 ist ein positiver Schritt in eine neue Richtung“
  • TheSixthAxis vergibt 80 Punkte: „Mortal Kombat 1 dient als Liebesbrief für Fans dieses 31-Jahre-alten Franchise und als ein Pseudo-Reboot spricht es auch Neukommer an. Es gibt immer noch Raum zum Wachsen und ich bin sicher, es wird noch besser, doch Mortal Kombat 1 ist jetzt schon definitiv eure Zeit wert.“
  • Screen Rant vergibt 70 Punkte: „Mortal Kombat 1 ist ein adäquater aber nicht idealer Einstieg in die Reihe (das wäre eher Mortal Kombat 2011) Für wiederkehrende Spieler, die ihre Lieblingsfiguren sehen wollen […] ist es ein Must-Buy“

 

 

Die letzte der Rezensionen ist, nach bisherigem Stand, die mit der geringsten Punktzahl. Eine 70 ist okay, zwar nicht sonderlich gut, aber deutlich unter den anderen Rezensionen.
