Am 28. Januar 2021 wird ein World-Update für Großbritannien für den Microsoft Flight Simulator veröffentlicht. Laut Jörg Neumann (Head of Microsoft Flight Simulator) hätten sie einen komplett neuen Datensatz mit Luftbildern/Satellitenaufnahmen von England, Wales und Schottland zur Verfügung gestellt bekommen. Außerdem würden sie sich bemühen, nicht nur neue Daten von Nordirland zu bekommen, sondern auch “von ganz Irland” (via PCGamesN). Außerdem werden sie einige speziell nachgebildete Flughäfen nachliefern, wie zum Beispiel Manchester Barton, Liverpool EEGP und Land’s End. Etwa 50 bis 60 Sehenswürdigkeiten (Points of Interest), neue Landeherausforderungen und neue prozedural generierte Gebäude stehen auf dem Patchplan. Bisher sind Japan und die Vereinigten Staaten von Amerika mit World-Updates versorgt worden. Im Dezember soll außerdem das VR-Update abheben.
Die Entwickler (Asobo) planen World-Updates und Sim-Updates regelmäßig zu veröffentlichen – jeweils ungefähr alle zwei bis drei Monate. Darüber hinaus würden sie auch an “größeren Dingen” arbeiten, über die sie noch nicht sprechen können, weil sie mehr Zeit benötigen würde.

Endlich mal ein Termin für die XBox Version wäre mir persönlich lieber, aber schön wenn die ungleich grössere PC Community da regelmässig Updates bekommt!
