Mafia: Definitive Edition(Action-Adventure) von 2K Credit: Hangar 13 / 2K

Heute haben 2K Games und das Entwicklerstudio Hangar 13 das Remake von Mafia offiziell vorgestellt. Die Mafia: Definitive Edition, die das Herzstück der Mafia: Trilogy bildet, soll “mehr als eine direkte Umsetzung” des Originals aus dem Jahr 2002 sein.

Neben “4K/HDR-Ready-Grafik, ausgefeiltem Sounddesign und einem eigens komponiertem Soundtrack” soll die Geschichte mit Liebe zum Original nacherzählt und erweitert werden. In der Pressemitteilung ist von einem aktualisierten Drehbuch/Skript mit “reichhaltigen Dialogen, erweiterten Hintergrundgeschichten und zusätzlichen Zwischensequenzen” die Rede. Einige Charaktere sollen in den Fokus rücken, die im Originaltitel nur am Rande auftraten. Auch der Schauplatz Lost Heaven wird vergrößert. Motorräder werden als neuer Fahrzeugtyp eingeführt. Neue Sammelgegenstände sind ebenso geplant. Das Spiel soll auf der Engine basieren, die bei Mafia 3 zum Einsatz kam. Auf der PC Gaming Show am 6. Juni sollen weitere Details präsentiert werden.

Mafia: Definitive Edition wird am 28. August 2020 für PC (zuerst Steam, später Epic Games Store), PS4 und Xbox One erscheinen. Das Remake wird einzeln erhältlich sein und 39,99 Euro kosten. Es ist aber auch in der Mafia: Trilogy enthalten, die seit heute verfügbar ist (wir berichteten).

Die Mafia: Definitive Edition wird mit lokalisierter Sprachausgabe für Englisch, Französisch, Italienisch, Deutsch, Spanisch, Tschechisch und Russisch sowie mit lokalisierten Untertiteln für mexikanisches Spanisch, brasilianisches Portugiesisch, Polnisch, Japanisch, Koreanisch sowie traditionelles und vereinfachtes Chinesisch veröffentlicht.

    Ich hab mir vor lauter Vorfreude nochmal Mafia 1 installiert (von CD, nicht bei Steam, wegens der Musik) und mit Mods machts noch einiges her. Aber das Rennen...Alter...nervig...aber ich habe mich durchgebissen.

    Da mache ich mir nicht so viele Hoffnungen das an der KI was getan wird. Am besten wäre es die Verbündeten einfach unverwundbar zu machen, also natürlich nicht am besten aber wenigstens nerven die dann nicht.

Das Spiel war 2002 sicher ein sehr gutes Spiel. Es wird sich aber zeigen müssen ob es das 2020 auch noch ist.
