Lonely Mountains: Downhill(Geschicklichkeit) von Credit: Megagon Industries /

Knapp ein Jahr nach der Veröffentlichung von Lonely Mountains: Downhill ist die erste Erweiterung erschienen: Eldfjall Island (5,99 Euro). Der DLC ist auf PC, Switch und Xbox One verfügbar. Die PS4-Version wird etwas später versorgt. Außerdem verrieten Megagon Industries und Thunderful Publishing, dass das Spiel schon mehr als 1,2 Mio. Spieler auf allen Plattformen zählen würde.

Die Vulkaninsel Eldfjall soll der bisher größte “Lonely Mountain” sein und bietet vier neue Strecken mit Herausforderungen. Die Entwickler planen neue Effekte (Gewitter, ausbrechender Vulkan), Outfits im Wikinger-Stil, einen Profi-Helm und freischaltbare Rucksäcke.

Später in diesem Jahr soll noch ein (kostenloses) Update für Lonely Mountains: Downhill erscheinen. Es wird “Daily Rides” einführen, bei denen die Spieler plattformübergreifend um den ersten Platz auf der täglichen Rangliste kämpfen. Jeden Tag wird nach dem Zufallsprinzip eine Strecke mit neuen Hindernissen und Abkürzungen ausgewählt. Die täglichen Herausforderungen finden in einer drei- bis achtwöchigen Saison statt, in der man neue Belohnungen freischalten kann – u.a. je nach Platzierung am Ende einer Saison.
