Hyper Scape(Shooter) von Ubisoft

Es läuft offenbar nicht rund bei Hyper Scape: Der Battle-Royale-Shooter auf Free-to-play-Basis kommt drei Monate nach Release bei Nutzern offenbar nicht so gut an wie von Ubisoft erhofft. Daher haben die Entwickler des Studios in Montreal auf der offiziellen Webseite jetzt einige Änderungen in Aussicht gestellt, um wieder für neuen Schwung auf den Sci-Fi-Schlachtfeldern zu sorgen.

Dafür will man nicht nur Dinge im Spiel verändern, sondern auch das Team in ein “Zellen-Format” umstruktieren, wie es z.B. auch bei Rainbow Six Siege praktiziert wird. Ab sofort gibt es eine Aufteilung auf fünf Säulen, auf die sich kleinere Gruppen oder einzelne Entwickler konzentrieren sollen: Dabei befasst sich eines z.B. nur mit dem Thema “Spielmodi”, während sich ein anderes auf die Realisierung von Cross-Play oder den Spielkomfort konzentriert. 

Folgende Problembereiche hat man analysiert: Das vertikal ausgerichtete Design der Schauplätze erschwert insbesondere auf den Konsolen das Anvisieren und die Verfolgung von Gegenspielern. Zudem liefert man derzeit nicht genügend Motivation in Form von mittel- und langfristigen Zielen. Dies sei auch einer der Gründe gewesen, warum man in Season 2 eine erste Version eines Ranglistensystems eingeführt habe. Für die Zukunft verspricht Ubisoft Montreal weitere Anreize durch Progressionsmechaniken und Verbesserungen zu schaffen.

Dazu gehört auch, den Zugang für Neuankömmlinge zu erleichtern. Zu diesem Zweck will man in Zukunft mehr Trainingsmöglichkeiten anbieten, mit denen sich die Spieler auf die Schlachten in der “freien Online-Wildbahn” besser vorbereiten können.
