Am 29. Dezember 2021 waren die Server des Battle-Royale-Shooters Fortnite für mehrere Stunden nicht erreichbar. Zunächst hatte es mit Verbindungsabbrüchen und langen Warteschlangen begonnen, später war ein Login überhaupt nicht mehr möglich. Das Team von Epic Games hatte bereits eine Entschädigung für diesen Ausfall angekündigt, mittlerweile wurden die konkreten Details via Twitter veröffentlicht.

Demnach findet in Kürze ein so genannter “Power Leveling Event” statt, bei dem ihr zusätzliche Erfahrungspunkte verdienen könnt. Wie groß dieser Bonus ist, hat das Team zwar nicht verraten, dafür alle anderen Rahmendaten: “Als Dankeschön für die Geduld während der Dezember-Login-Probleme fällt am 8. Januar 2022 um 1:00 Uhr deutscher Zeit der Startschuss für ein Power Leveling Weekend. Dieses läuft bis zum 10. Januar um 13:00 Uhr. Außerdem erhält jeder, der sich während des Winterfests eingeloggt hat, eine neue Crescent Shroom Pickaxe, bevor sie im Shop erscheint.”


Wenn ihr ohnehin geplant hattet, euren aktuellen Battle Pass von Fortnite zu leveln, solltet ihr euch dieses Wochenende unbedingt freihalten. Dank des XP-Boosts dürftet ihr sicherlich die ein oder andere zusätzliche Stufe freischalten können – inklusive der jeweiligen Belohnungen.

    Dagegen ist prinzipiell ja nichts einzuwenden. Der X-Box-Games-Pass arbeitet ähnlich. Und ich habe mir auch zu Zeiten meines laufenden PS-Plus-Abos öfters gedacht "Och, nimmste' Mal mit" :)
